Fricano's was the perfect end to a long day. Taking myself on a solo dinner date after finishing work ended up being the best decision I could have made. When arriving at Fricano's I was a little hesitant to go in due to the fact that they closed in an hour and I didn't see very many cars in the parking lot. I was a little nervous that the servers might be off put to somebody coming in an hour till close when they weren't very busy.
But this was not the case
Walking into Fricano's I was greeted by the most upbeat friendly bartender I've seen in a long time. I think the bartender's last name was Lawton, I'm not a hundred percent sure.
This was a very friendly young man and he was honest about his drink making skills, 😉 which were just fine may I add.
I sat at the bar ordered a pizza and a rum runner I specifically think it was called a red-white-and-blue rum runner but I could be wrong on that. I did not feel rushed nor did I feel out of place. The bartender offered friendly conversation but was not overly talkative.
The pizza was absolutely 😋 delicious 🤤 I had been craving a Fricano's Pizza for about a month and sure did hit the spot. If you like pizza that's thin-crust you will enjoy this pizza. Has your basic toppings that you can add to the pizza. They do not have parmesan cheese for the pizza so do not ask or make sure you bring your own. You can dine in or you can get takeout. The atmosphere is laid-back but not raggedy. You can dine in this restaurant in many different forms you can use it for a fancy party or you can come in after a football game it can lean left or it can lean right either way you'll fit in. It's a very chill atmosphere overlooking the water quite relaxing. It is wheelchair accessible there is a large parking lot outside. Fricano's is delicious and always clean you must dine here.
Decent food (pizza was soggy and hard to pick up) but their bartenders clearly don’t know how to read ID cards for holographic markings. I was born in 2000 so I am 22, one month away from being 23 and showed them my ID and they tried to tell me that it “feels fake.” Laughable considering I purchased Truly Seltzers at Meijer just ONE HOUR before going to dinner, with my very real ID card, that had to be scanned in order to check out. 🤣 Definitely won’t be returning here anytime soon.
Was there the other night. Waited over an HOUR for TERRIBLE, tasteless food that cost over $75 (no alcohol). Most of the restaurant was served before us. There were five in our party. When we FINALLY got our food, some pizzas were cold, some soggy/half done. And they had run out of some ingredients. My pizza STILL wasn't done so it came 10 minutes later than everyone else even then! It wasn't the server's fault but I asked for a discount. So then Ted's (owner) wife came over. I asked HER for a discount. She said, "oh yeah, yeah... sure!" Next thing we know, Ted comes over to our table. He was stinky, dirty and loud. He had been working outside spreading bark. Got a glass of wine (unlikely it was his first one!) from our server, never offered anyone else anything, and proceeded to apparently "grace" us with his presence. THAT was our "discount," I guess. Getting visited by the stinky owner who whined about having new staff. 🙄 Terrible food and service. Don't waste your money or your time.
I have never had a worse pizza.
Be sure to check the lacking menu before dining here to see if you like their six topping options and only thin crust pizza. Make sure you order extra pizza due to the thin crust, we all left hungry.
The thin crust was floppy and filled with grease, very difficult to eat. The limited toppings was disappointing. We ordered cheese breadsticks and only the center ones had cheese. Also ordered a margarita and it was a syrup, sugar rush, that we didn't even try to drink. The resturant does have a nice view, but not nice enough for us to return.

Good old Fricanos! I enjoy the pizzas there, but I wish they had more craft beer options.
