Great experience, Very nice atmosphere inside it was clean and Zen. The level of help offered for someone walking in knowing nothing about Birkenstocks was amazing. They were very patient as I had a lot of questions and was unsure. They took their time and I left with my first pair. I would definitely recommend coming inside and figuring out the correct option rather than guessing online. This is one of those things that it is better to see and feel in person.

the people here are super nice and helpful. i very highly recommend. in addition to birkenstocks, they carry a line of handmade leather bags - backpacks, satchels, totes - that looked really cool. overall, definitely worth the drive from kc or topeka, etc.

Great customer service and excellent communication. I been looking for a pair of gray London Birkenstocks for a long time. This was the only store that had them in stock , and they were on sale. This store is awesome.

They couldn't fix my first pair of sandals even though they said they would have my info on file. Went over with my ole sandals and was told they couldnt repair. Bought my second sandals here but couldn't get anyone in the store to assist me the first time, she was too busy helping the white folks. I went there to try and buy them. Went another day and finally got help...worker lied about how they NEVER have their Birkenstock sandals on sale so bought the second overpriced pair. Less then a month later they had a sale on them. Never helpful and bad record keeping lost me my ability to get the 💯 guarantee on my first pair repair. Now my second pair suck and never stop smelling regardless of how many times I've cleaned them. Don't waste your time and money!!

Footprints has been my go-to Birkenstock store for more than thirty years. My first, and only, visit to this mecca in Lawrence came after driving 600 miles through a blizzard. The drive was a nail biter and the visit glorious. While I have yet to return to the store, I have purchased more Birks via mail from them. They do great mail order/Internet service. Once you know your size, you can live a thousand miles away and shop like a local. More importantly, the Footprints team offers Birkenstock repairs. Mick is a craftsman; he's kept a couple of pairs of Birkenstock shoes of mine serviceable for decades. Just recently two pairs came back from the shop and are ready for more wear. Not like new, but serviceable and ready to comfort my feet as I go about my day. The shoes in the pictures attached to this review are more than 20 years old. They have just returned from Footprints from another repair session. New life has been breathed into these shoes. You may think you're paying too much for Birks, but with a little love from Mick's hands, they may be the last shoes you need to buy.
