Evans On the Common

One of the best stores in Massachusetts between Boston and the Connecticut River for clothing, footwear, gear and gifts. Terrific selection and professional, friendly, helpful service. Evans on the Common is a destination.

Great selection of shoes, especially for Zero-drop and wide-foot selections. Staff are super helpful and knowledgeable about fitting and won't lead you astray.

Great selection of high quality brands in the sale sections outside and upstairs. I got Muck Boots, Chacos, corduroy pants, and wool hiking socks for under $100 all together. They also had a great selection of Keens, Patagonia, and high quality flannels for discounted prices. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who likes the VT/REI aesthetic.

Evans has th best selection of shoes in the area _ hands down. They have a wide variety of brands _ including many from Germany, Italy, etc. They also have a fabulous selection of cowboy boots - Ariat, Abilene, Bogs, etc. I also love their selection of mittens, hats, and gloves! They have a decent women's clothing section as well as Men's _ and very limited baby section. There are two floors upstairs they move camping/hiking gear but also their clearance shows (which is my favorite place to start). Downstairs is women's, mens, baby, retail shoes, etc. Staff is always amazingly helpful!

This place has great clothes, shoes, and all kinds of different apparel. It's great to see places like this surviving and doing well in the time of amazon. Long live small business!
