A small cute little shop centrally located in DuPont Circle area serving some amazing gelatos, coffees and the famous hot chocolate. Seating is limited but you can usually find a spot for a couple. We tried their affogato with dark chocolate, hot chocolate and both were yummy. Their portions are decent hence would recommend getting a small serving if it’s just for one. Try them out today!
Came here on a Sunday night for ice cream and had a great experience! Good range of flavors and a nice atmosphere. It was fairly busy, with a short wait before ordering and all the tables full. The small cup comes with two flavors and is ~$8. Pricey for the size, but it is expected for Dupont. I haven’t tried the coffee yet, but it seems like it would be a great spot, and I would love to come back.
Dolcezza is a DC-native, handmade, small batch gelato local chain. Rotating flavors. Pictured here is Apple and Clementine sorbetto. The sorbettos are very bright and flavorful, they're my personal favorite. The gelato is quite sweet, a bit too much so for me. But my taste is for low sweetness in my desserts, so that's just me. My partner who is a gelato fanatic loves this place.
I came across this gelateria during my after-dinner walk in Dupont Circle last night. It looks lovely so I suggested coming here for dessert after dinner in Columbia Heights before heading back to our hotel in Foggy Bottom.
I love the vibe and decor inside. There is long communal table in the seating area but we opted for the stools by the window to people watch.
We shared a large cup with black sesame, coconut dulce de leche, and peanut butter cup. I love the rich and bold flavour of the black sesame but the coconut dulce de leche was very refreshing, particularly after a big dinner.
Super good! Got the dulce de Leche chip gelato and the cookie butter crunch gelato! Also got the pumpkin chai. All the staff are so nice and helpful. Pricey but worth it.
