I did hours of engineering and research before choosing Stair-Treads. Their customer support and assistance was top notch and helpful. Prompt answers and precise information. I ordered 3 extra pieces to ensure I had enough to complete the job due to any potential damage or quality issues that you normally have dealing with wood. As expected a board was warped and a couple split from shipping. Customer service quickly responded and shipped out a replacement and credited me for returns within a week or so. The job went as planned and completed perfect. First time I ever did this kind of work. I am pleased and recommend buying this product from Stair Treads. Awesome support staff second to none. Check out the before and after progression photos. It took me 3 long weekends about 60 hours to custom make this beautiful stairs.

They manufacture your stairs directly to order. The treads are high quality, have plenty of stains and finishes to choose from, and the staff are a ton of help. Couldn't recommend these guys enough.

I first became aware of Stair-Treads through an internet search. I was looking specifically for retro treads and risers. I have an existing staircase that was carpet covered. I removed the carpet and padding. I looked at retrofit kits offered through the big box stores, however the quality didn't look good and they were unfinished. I was looking for finished products and a better than average quality. When I came to Stair-Treads, I was impressed by their comprehensive website. They offer a wide variety of products and have great filters to help narrow ones search. In addition, they provide educational content as well, which is awesome. Pretty much a "one stop" shopping experience. Couple of things to note: They offer a nice range of wood selections as well as colors and finishes. They also offer additional "support" products such as wood filler kits and moldings. I did a price comparison between Stair-Treads products and they were priced competitively. Here are some other highlights that make this company stand out from the competition. Quality - outstanding quality. And they stand behind their products. ALMOST ALL THEIR PRODUCTS ARE MADE TO ORDER. This was huge for me. For around the same price as their competitor's, I get a finished product, made to order. Next, I was assigned my own sales and support person. Her name is Danielle Hyman. She is EXCELLENT! She sent an introductory email when I placed my order, provided me with her contact information and informed me that she was available for questions. Additionally, she is super knowledgeable about Stairs-Treads products. On a final note, I ran into an issue where I measured a couple of my stairs incorrectly. Danielle was able to make the adjustment to my order and contact me with the adjustment - perfect! And the communication is awesome. They notify you when your order goes to production, provide you with a estimated ship date and a tracking number. I don't usually spend a lot of time on reviews, however, this company really earned this review. I am super happy with them and will be posting pictures once my order arrives and I completed my project.
