The store definitely has everything you could need, but the women that checked us out was very rude. We stood there for 2 minutes waiting for the staff to finish their conversation/gossip. We were ignored. It was so bad, we had to ask if her lane was closed. She said no and then continued her conversation and made us wait longer before helping us. ***Tons of wine and cheese selection. Fresh, hot tortillas. The bakery was nice and cheap.
Chedraui is the large grocery store/ get all in one place store, its like a small walmart back in the US. We wanted to go here just to get a variety of snacks to bring back to our room and not eat out as much. We went three times and every time the worker were friendly but when it comes to check out, it only seems to be two cashiers open at a time which makes the lines very long. The store was clean compared to other store we entered and to us, the prices were pretty good compared to back home in the US. You had to or really encourage you to wear a mask while in the store which we did. We both liked this store as you can get most of your needs in one location. Recommended.
Biggest Commercialized Market on the Island. Not sure how much of the money goes back to supporting the local community since it’s a chain store, but if you’re looking to stock up food and toiletries in a vacation home for a week or two this should be your first stop. It’s modeled similarly to a small Walmart, food court, pharmacy, electronics section, groceries, clothing, they even sell motorcycles starting around 800USD. Bring your own bags.
Possibly the only big super market in Isla Mujeres. Seems well stocked with reasonable prices. Food bakery section. Lots of fruits and vegetables, alcohol and almost everything else.
