Great place to get hand tools. You never know what they will have on hand. The owner and staff are great people. I have been going to this store since 2016, when I discovered this business.

I defy you to go into Charlie's and not have a good time. If you love clutter on a mind-boggling scale or want to feel your testosterone jump up to dangerous levels, this is the place for you. I've been haunting this place for fifteen years, but I think it's been open since Zebulon Pike explored the area. They have a gazillion hand saws, axes, screws, extension chords, power tools, and more random items than you can literally imagine. One could outfit a hundred wood or metal working shops from this place. Best part is, they almost never charge you the price on the items. They usually drop the price at the counter because they are just glad you are there. Also, they will buy your used stuff at a good price. "WE BUY ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T EAT". Pretty much sums it up.

I've been going here for over 33 years. They have every kind of tool! Whenever I need to replace a wrench, socket or special item for a repair or project, I can count on Charlie's 2nd Hand to have it or tell me where I can find it. The store is brimming with estate sale items and quality new & used tools, yet their prices are always low. Some of the surplus items need a little cleaning, but hey, they are quality and the price is right. Why buy cheap at Harbor freight when you get name brand at Charlie's for a better price? Also, the guys are super helpful and freindly. Be sure to browse both rooms because you never can tell what they just got in that will. 😎 It's the ultimate toy store to me. Lol

I've been here before to purchase used tools, and their Owner/Manager is great to deal with. I don't like to post my frustrations, but I believe its important to let others know to GO ELSEWHERE if you want to sell your used tools to them. I had 2 full tool boxes with a variety of wrenches, vise-grips, sockets, etc. Granted, I wasn't expecting much, but they never made a serious offer and low-balled me $5 for everything. It felt incredibly insulting bc I know how expensive tools can be. Also, they don't buy anything "Chinese" as per Matt. They have "thousands" of tools from Taiwan and clearly don't need them. I went back with just American made tools, and Matt said it wasn't even worth the $5 from before after telling me that he would just throw away the Taiwanese Tools himself if I sold it to him. Not even the Tool Box was worth $5... Bad Business Practices.

Called to ask a question guy on the phone (didn’t give name) was super rude and hung up before I could even ask one question. Very sad about it cause they came recommended by my dad.
