The way it should be.. I dropped off my truck for tires, brakes and a wheel hub. The work was completed the same day and it was smooth and effortless. I was surprised at the communication and efficiency of this Big O location. Thank you!
Old 5 star review -Martin killed it. Put new tires on my 2017 Colorado. They look great and the customer service was easy and not pushy.
New review - Do not trust the salesman at this location. Originally I believed this location did a great job. They replaced tires and performed a front end alignment. Fast forward 2 months and my front end nearly falls out of my truck on the way back to the location for a troubleshoot of grinding when turning and a loud rumbling and shaking while in park.
When the salesman called me back she lied to me and said they couldn’t find a problem at all even after driving for “40 minutes” but they were gonna rotate and balance the tires and they think that my front rotors are warped and may be causing the grinding but “they didn’t even have to touch my front end”. They then broke a cross threaded stud on the tire (that they cross threaded on the tire install). The other salesman then tried to tell me if I could recreate the problem at all to bring it back…. Now the truck does miraculously operate normally after this last visit….. even tho they claim they didn’t even touch the suspension system. I mean I barely made it into their parking lot with the amount of metal grinding taking place on tire rotation and when turning I thought my tire rods were gonna snap.
I am a 35 year old master electrician I feel I am fairly mechanically inclined with the training I’ve received in my life. Had they just been honest about the problem I would not adjust this review as someone clearly fixed the issue but this showed an EXTREME LACK of integrity, professionalism and was the most shady tire replacement I’ve ever had. The front end assembly had loose nuts and washers that began to vibrate extremely loud while the diesel vehicle was in operation and clearly the loose assembly was causing an issue likely from bolts that didn’t get torqued properly. Please focus on integrity with your future clients as I will not be returning to this location ever.
I came here for an alignment on my truck. It has a lift and big tires, and was pulling immediately to the right. Attempt number 1 was so bad, the steering wheel was sideways to drive straight (see pic), and I had 3 new lights on the dash. How did they send me home with that?! I drove down the street and then flipped around and drove back to the store, but they had already locked up and left for the night. I took it back the next day and they had a different guy try to fix it. He ended up being able to fix whatever caused the lights on the dash and the alignment was now back to where we started. After a quick test drive around the block I drove back and was able to catch them this time to ask for a refund, so I can go somewhere else. I guess the lift and tires make it harder to align. In order to get a refund I had to take it to another shop to prove it could be aligned without “repairs”, which I thought was fair, but maybe they should not have attempted the alignment in the first place. I ended up going to Fat Bobs in Layton and they got it aligned no issue, they specialize in off-road setups. I received my refund from Big O. Everyone was very nice here, but they should have been upfront about the difficulty of the alignment, that they probably would not be able to do it, and should not have sent my truck home that first day with all the issues.
Not to happy with the service I got. My car has been in this place 3 times, the last time almost a month and the original reason I took it in still exists. This is where Rocky Mountain Motor makes me take it. It's had issues since I got it but leaks something and this last time I took it in for the leak they replaced the turbo and God knows what else because they never gave me a invoice and never called to update me on anything being done with my car until I had to call and when I finally got my car back it was covered in something that's still on it after 2 washes and still leaks so I won't be back if I can help it. As you can see in the picture, they didn't even put all the bolts back in my exhaust manifold/heat shield. The turbo is part of and right below the manifold.
Got to location, literally 2 cars in lot. We had pre-ordered tire that cost $250.00 to replace and it took 2 1/2 hours to get it done. I would say, pick another Big O Tires to go to. At one point of checking it, there was 3 guys leaning on the tailgate, doing nothing. Sad, because Big O Tires is usually good at getting the customer in and out.
