I tried BBVA online and couldn't open an account. After the online process you are request to go to the bank. There, they didn't accept my NIE, they said they needed the TIE, that has a photo. Also, they didn't accept my spanish contract promise or any document from another country proving that I have an income. To open a bank with passport only I would have to wait 10 days to get an appointment in the bank. Ridiculous.
