Something that BBVA is doing is blocking accounts for foreigners in the process of renewing their NIE.
Gentlemen of BBVA, the renewal of the NIE is imposed by the Immigration Department and the times for issuing the TIE card are imposed by the National Police, it is not the foreigner's fault.
I will indicate what the Bank of Spain says:
As far as account blocking is concerned, this DCE understands that the measures that imply restrictions on the rights of customers (such as, for example, the blocking of subscriptions that the entity decides to adopt as a result of the customer not having passed control of survival) must not only be duly justified, but also be notified to customers as soon as possible, so that they do not cause unnecessary damage.
In general, for entities to legitimately proceed to block or unavailability of their clients' accounts, judicial authorization is necessarily required, the agreement of all the holders or the concurrence of a duly justified cause, circumstances that, in any case, must be accredited and notified to its owner.
Thank you.
The customer service is terrible and the lady serving me is quite rude. I had an appointment on Monday, September 7 at 10:30 to open 2 accounts. The best thing is that the lady who helped me told me that the document we had was not valid, we are from the European community and we identified ourselves with an NIE and passport but it seems that she did not know or did not feel like working. So I went to the BBVA office on Blanquerna Street and they treated me wonderfully. I was able to open both accounts without any problem.
Only two ATMs and the interior is almost always out of service. On the other hand, many operations have been transferred to automatic operations, generally long and tedious operations that require those who only need to withdraw money to wait a large amount of time. If they want to reduce weight, at least there are enough ATMs in operational condition.
Pretty bad attention, several months waiting for a call from the director, canceling several phone appointments and without answering emails. That is not how things are done.

Very bad service from this office. The boy treated me horribly. He did not care that he was a customer and that he wanted to hire a new product.
