Ace Hardware Bon

I went in for a few screws to fasten my car’s splash guard underneath back on. I’m used to searching the massive hardware wall for several minutes before giving up and asking for help. I was greeted immediately by Mike and to my surprise he not only found the hardware I needed but also went out to my car, helped guide me to park it up on the curb AND laid on the freezing cold ground to fasten it on. It took several trips back and forth to the hardware wall and back outside to find the right pieces and it didn’t help that it was a windy 40 degrees out. Mike did it with a smile and a genuine willingness to help that I haven’t encountered from someone in a long time. He didn’t have to do more than just show me where to find the hardware but he went above and beyond. He deserves a raise and a bunch of vacation time! Thank you so much, Mike. Larry was amazing! Came in with a super special sheet metal screw , and he was able to help me find it with ease. I went to Home Depot and two other Ace Hardware and nobody could help me, but Larry was able to get the job done. Thank you!!

I have been harassed the last 3 times I have been to this location. Only this one. My husband and I both have tattoos, and they treat us as though we're going to steal the second we walk in. I'm asked to leave my purse at the front, I have never been asked to do that anywhere else. He is followed to each item he's looking at, and they aren't discreet about it- they will literally stand there and watch him. I've never seen them treat another customer this way while we've been in there. Another time my husband didn't respond when they greeted him at the door due to previous bad experiences, and the lady proceeded to follow him around the store and was blatantly rude to him, went and got the manager, and when he asked why she was being so rude and following him, she said it was because he didn't respond when she greeted him. Last I checked, that's not a law. As a human, you aren't required to say hello to greeters. Walmart employees don't harass you if you don't answer them. And the manager clearly didn't care, she was so distracted that she was barely listening. I strongly recommend you avoid this location, drive to another Ace.

It is great to find a store that still employs people who know what they are talking about and are willing to help. I have done business at Bon Ace for many years and I always look forward to stopping in. Tim has redone screens for me and replaced axe handles. Henry has given me solid advice on a variety of projects. Mike goes out of his way to find the right solution to any problem. Yesterday he not only found me a better bump feeder for my weedeater....he installed it for me while I did my shopping. I can't remember the manager's name, but she is always friendly and informative. Sorry that I can't mention everyone by name, but I want you to know I appreciate you.

Mike is an amazing guy! He definitely went above and beyond to help us out! All the staff is friendly, professional and attentive. Would recommend visiting this ace, they set the standard of great customer service!
