its a late review, but I went in this week to check my status for an upgrade. Was met by the manager, she pulled up my account and went over the new specs of the new phone. She then walked me over to one of the other employees when they freed up and continued with my upgrade. It was easier than I anticipated. thanks for the great service.
I have been trying to get my cell phone bill lowered. I am a 70 and just can’t afford such expensive rates. I went to the store and was supposed to get a discount for belonging to AARP. They look a screen shot of my card and I was all set. A couple of days later I get a text and an email, saying I am not able to do this. I again took a picture of my card and lo and behold a week after I get notified I am not eligible. What the heck. I have been with AT&T for many years. Maybe it’s time to switch carriers.
Customer service sucks we decided to go from Verizon to AT&T and was the worst mistake ever. We went to open 2 new lines and Javier helped us we never saw him opening the box and taking the plastic out of the phone. A day latter I saw a big scratch on the phone and went back and nobody could helped me. They told me I did the deep scratch with my nails, I didn’t know we as humans have metal nails. None of the managers helped us and they gave us all these different excuses. We called and asked for Juan the manager there and he said he was going to check the camaras and he would give us a call back. We didn’t hear from him so we decided to call back and he said oh yeah I opened the box for Javier and then a minute later he said oh no Javier opened it. So we were confused did you ever check the cámaras or didn’t? This is not a $2 phone. The first day we went to complain about the phone they kept telling us we could restock the phone and just pay the $55 restocking fee. Which we said fine we will pay as long as we don’t have to keep this phone. Then when we tried to do that they say we can’t. They couldn’t make up their mind they don’t know how to to their job. It’s sad none of the managers there Jocelyn or Juan could help. Now I am stuck with this scratch phone for 3 years.
Juan was great. Super personable, knowledgeable, effective, and efficient. I was in and out of there quickly and my mom is super happy with the product. Thanks Juan!
If I could give a 0 star, I would. I simply want to upgrade my phone. Since my order couldn’t go through online, I had to come to the store. The staff was trying to add every single add-on he could to the order including ATT next, insurance AND he added my husband line to the order as well. A $70 dollar one time bill for upgrade ended up being close to $300. When I asked to move those off, their reasons were that this is the policy during holiday seasons that they can’t move it off. I asked to check their screen and go back a step to see if there’s flexibility to remove some of those, they said no. I had to watch him to cancel the order.
I recommend going to another store at Stamford location: at 2147 summer st. They were able to help me and optimized my plan with ATT. Super helpful!
