Ace Handyman Services Grand Rapids Central and Lakeshore

Needed quick, simple project done (hanging window shades). Taken care of as I needed in 30 min. He offered to do more since the cost is for a 1 hour minimum, unfortunately, I couldn't think of anything else!

Over priced materials, time consuming, unprofessional work leads to project failure later on, trying to get an answer from them, after more than a week, there is still no a clear response yet.

Update:
The owner did a great job taking care of my issue, came to my house check the installation, found the issue, resolved right away himself. It ended up working fine. So I would say customer service is good.

But keep in mind, originally I got charged twice as much for materials spent, the owner took a look of the installation and willing to refund my money back. I would recommend you getting a material cost breakdown before you pay for the job. Another thing is make sure when you getting estimate, ask for hourly rate, my project was originally quoted for a 2 hours job, it ended up almost 6 hours.

I was told I couldn’t use my screen door after my new front door was installed.  Angelo was very positive and made it happen!  I’d ask for him again when I need a handyman!

I have had a great experience with Ace Handyman Services!  They were responsive, professional and got the job done well.  I had a basement door lock that wasn’t a normal fix. The part was rare and difficult to install. They found the part and got the job done perfect!  Very impressed with their service!  And thank you Josh for all your help!

Made our old dated porch look modern. We love it. Robert the handyman was great.

I called Ace for the locksmith got a gentleman name Kyle super cool guy very easy to talk to and loves his job he drove out to me and got straight to work was out in about 10ish minutes would recommend with any locksmith problems

Trying to find parts for Moen faucet, they wanted to give me Pfister parts. Didn't want to let me look for myself,  The guys expertise was "it looks close enough". Very strange place to shop

Always have what I need every time I go in there and always have what I don't need as well lol. My favorite item to purchase from Ace is strawberry parfait candle!!

The New Castle Ace hardware is a good place to shop. They have prices that are very competitive. All of their staff is very friendly and willing to help with finding what you need.

School of Rock

My 4yo enjoyed the Little Wing class. The front desk was always warm and friendly. The Little Wing's teacher, Doxey was always enthusiastic, encouraging, engaging and playful. He brought the perfect energy and sweetness to a room full of kids. The staff were always accommodating and flexible. Highly recommend!

I have 2 sons that take drum lessons here.  The teachers and staff are amazing. The boys have learned so much.  And watching them perform is awesome!

My kids have been going here for 2 years and it's some of the best money we have ever spent.  They have gained skills, friends and confidence.

This is a very friendly place to shop.  Everyone is so helpful.  I always find what I need. Actually this is my first stop when looking for something.

The employees were friendly and personable. They helped me locate what I needed quickly. They even got to talking to me about what I did for a living and held a nice conversation. One thing I really appreciated was that the employees didn't talk down to me, which sometimes happens in hardware stores because I'm a woman. The hours are great and the store is clean, well-lit, and well stocked.

Staff is helpful and knowledgeable but like everything else everywhere else the prices are going up. But had everything I was looking for.

Worst service ever!!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET KEYS MADE HERE!! Employees are not trained for an equipment and doesn't have communication skills to do the service!!! They give you the run around! We've bought the fob key and was told it takes a few days to come in which cost $264 and that was it. Then when it came in they told us they needed the vehicle to program it which they didn't tell us when we bought the fob. So I got it towed there.  So we get there ready for them to program the key to the vehicle they told us they didn't know how to program the key. So I wasted money to get it towed and my time! If you need your key made call Anvil Locksmith cause he got it done right and it was less in the price and time for him to program the key. THANK YOU ANVIL LOCKSMITH FOR MY KEY!! I will tell you right now, the employees are so friendly and helpful. They let you look around for a bit before offering you help. They don't pressure you like a lot of store's.  I hate walking into a store and immediately they start on you. Not Ace. These people are professional.

Typical high prices, usually have what I need. The biggest problem is experience, my wife and I make 6 figures and just want to find what we need, pay and leave. The employees watch you like a hawk like your a thief and constantly ask what you need instead of letting you figure it out. There is difference between being helpful and being like "best buy ask you over and over" while they literally watch you shop. I get in this area there are some seedy people, but this needs to be toned down. I will not be back due to the experience, not because of the prices. Really lacks the small town feel I have always known Ace for.

As soon as I walk in the door I'm made to feel welcomed and I am always immediately asked if I need help. The employees are all extremely nice and eager to give you a great experience. The selection is quite extensive for a smaller hardware store and now they even sell ammo.

The store was neat and clean and clearly products were easy to locate however  the customer  service needs improvement. Not completely  rude just more customer  friendly.

Build My Place

I was very impressed with this store as soon as I walked in their door, as well as appreciate all the assistance that Guatam has given me over the past couple of months.  I was updating a kitchen and purchased the flooring as well as countertop from here.  Everyone loves how the kitchen has turned out.  I will definitely be back when update another room.

Its an overwhelming task searching for all the right textiles to use to remodel a house let alone a kitchen or breakfast nook. However upon entering build my place I met Story,  he assisted and guided me through the process of picking out flooring , tile , he listened to my concerns and he knew his products . I cannot say enough good things about this place and Story . Their prices are pretty much the same when price shopping. Will definitely be returning to get my lights next!

We bought 2 24" vanities from Build My Place and faucets as well. Very helpful and good quality. We'll definitely buy here again.

Ace Handyman Services North Houston

Bud installed leaf gutter guard on portion of front and back of my home, that had been removed by roofer, but not installed. He did it quickly and professionally, with impeccable work skills and knowledge. Very kind and courteous and friendly as well. First time I ever used your Company, but if a need arises where I need an Andy man in the future, your Company is my Go To. Exceptionally happy with your Company !!

I needed my window sill replaced and was expecting to pay a lot for it but they were more than reasonable with prices. They came in, replaced and painted the sill and offered advice on some other stuff while they were here. I'm big on DIY but I will not mind calling them back for more help around the house. These guys are AWESOME!

We needed some fascia board replaced on the house, I called in the morning and they came out to replace it at noon. The work took about 3 1/2 hours (including a trip to the home center for supplies) and was well done and good quality. I picked Hardie board as the material of choice, which is dense, difficult to work and just generally not user friendly, but the gentleman was knowledgeable and quite capable of handling the project. It came out looking very nice. If you live in the Kingwood area, I would suggest giving them a call.

Hired Bud through the ACE handyman services to replace the front door hardware and re-key the locks and other details.   Bud did excellent work, is a military veteran with 40 yrs in the home repair business.

I am very pleased with both the customer service I received from the office as well as from Alex, the on-site craftsman. Both were extremely personable and professional.

Prima Coffee Equipment

What used to be a great coffee equipment retailer, Prima Coffee has gotten too big for their britches. I have ordered my filters from this company for years and it was a shop you could call and always get a customer service rep on the line. It is obvious they have now outsourced their customer service like everyone else and it truly sucks! I called before placing my last order because I was moving and was concerned about getting my order before my USPS Change Of Address went into effect. The person on the other line said if I got my order in today they would ship it that same day. They did not. In fact it didn’t ship until 3 full days later and it collided with my Change Of Address and never arrived. So after many emails, Phone messages asking for a refund with no results I have given up. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY BECAUSE OF POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Excellent customer service! I worked with them for about a week to pick out the items I needed for my first legitimate coffee brewing set up and they were so friendly and answered all my questions and concerns. I am beyond satisfied with the service and support from Prima and will be purchasing all of my coffee supplies from them from now on.

Fantastic customer service! I ordered an espresso machine and it was shipped out the next day! After it arrived from UPS I noticed there was damage on the unit so I called them and because I live locally they allowed me to stop by their headquarters and exchanged the unit for a new one! I will continue to purchase coffee equipment and accessories from them and would recommend them to anyone looking to get further into coffee

Great deal on a Baratza Encore with a free Aeropress.  Shipping was free, and there was no tax, so it was a way better deal than Amazon.  Also, I only live a couple of hours away so the standard free shipping got it to me the next day.  I ordered late at night and they shipped it the next morning.  Thanks!

I'm editing this review and bumping up the score. Prima Coffee reached out to me with some delay due to staffing issues plaguing so many these days. They appear to be "on the case" in my quest for a grinder, so appreciate their response to my request!

My daughter participated in SOR for a few years and loved every minute of it. Fantastic experience! The management is very organized and communicates well. Instructors are enthusiastic about music and helping each student reach their potential. Watching Izzy go from a novice to where she is today has been incredible!

I love going there and being taught the wonders of music. A special thank you to Matt and Kyle on drums and El, Kaylie, and Elisha on keys. It is wonderful to share your knowledge with younger people!

My kid is digging it.  1 day band (1 1/2 hours) & 1 day singing lessons (45 min.).

Paul Davis Restoration of Central Mississippi

Very happy with the completed work they done. They were very nice each day and explained what they would be working on each morning. Mr. Glenn would also keep me informed about the paperwork and updates on the progress. Kagan would come each morning and get started. Very nice all around guy. Very nice manners also. Mr. Frank was very quiet but a great worker. He was also very nice. I had one more man his name was Antonio Hughes. He worked one day here and than had to move on to other jobs. Very good painter.

When my house suffered water damage and mold, I called Paul Davis Restoration. I spoke with Sarah who immediately put me at ease and came out to survey the damage. They sent Mary and Amber, two very knowledgeable and professional young women, to meet me at the house to ask questions about the damage to my contents. They got to work and quickly took care of everything. After they took care of my contents, the mold mitigation team met me at my hotel and explained what had been found and what needed to be done. Daniel and Amber got to work and kept me informed at every stage. The mold problem was completely resolved in a very timely manner. Now once it was time for the rebuild, WOW is all I can think! I met Glenn, the project manager, who between his input and Sarah’s advice, I have the bathroom of my dreams. My favorite thing about this team, and they all worked as a team, was I asked them to be honest with me. And every step of the way, they were! I never could have imagined such a beautiful design. Sarah has a way with design that made my room magazine worthy and Glenn pays attention to every aspect and detail and it shows in the finished result. They went above and beyond! I can’t thank them enough! Paul Davis does top notch work and I would recommend this company to all of my friends and family.

Very professional water extraction team… Daniel, Lane, Joshawn,  Omar and Lincoln did an outstanding job… they kept on touch, arrived when they said they would, got straight to work, removed debris, were very polite and a pleasure to work with!
Greg Pace, appraiser, was very professional as well… he arrived on time and actually was ahead of schedule … came in like a tactical strike team and got the job done quickly… he made diagrams, measured everything, informed me of the process, was  courteous, knowledgeable about the insurance business, and truly a pleasure to work with.
On a 1-to-10 scale I give Paul Davis a 20 !!!!!

This group are 100% customer aware.
We had a flood and were exasperated by the time it took for insurance to assess, re assess and get some funds to us to start a rebuild. After living in a house with bare concrete floors, partially removed walls, no kitchen or bathroom cabinets and having only a utility sink to use for kitchen and bathroom needs for eight weeks, I had the good fortune of speaking with Sarah who really got things going.
The next day Tin the assessor was at my home. A week later I met Sarah at the  office and picked anew flooring. At tht time she said about 6 more weeks until assigned, work done and completion. Well, to my great surprise, Gleen the project manager called the next week and they started the following Monday, and less than 2 weeks later we are back to normal. Well before we thought possible.
These folks know their job, the drywall/painting guys were amazing, the carpenters were exceptional, the flooring guy was wonderful. And, can't say enough about Glenn the project manager. The communication level was terrific and the after project care I have recieved has been exceptional.
Can't say enough great things about this group!

This is my second time to use PD in 7 years. When I found where an A/C drain piped had leaked & caused damage, I knew who to call.
