This Sanctuary was one of the coolest places my husband and I visited while traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday. The animals are obviously very happy and very well cared for. Despite the time of year, we saw many active animals and got some great pictures! The staff obviously love what they do and were so kind and friendly as well. We will definitely pay a visit again in the future!
Very nice that they’re trying to care for these animals but not a great place to visit. Pretty expensive admission fee for what it is. They keep the animals in enclosures that are too small for their size and activity level… not the best. Overall, disappointing.
Im happy to be able to support a place with such a fantastic conservation and education mission. What a wonderful representation of animals in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
We did a private tour this month (Jan) since they are closed for the winter. It was super affordable and so educational! We had a tour guide the entire time and spent time getting to know each animals story, and how they fit into the Yellowstone ecosystem. These animals all have a story of why they cannot be released back into the wild and they are so well cared for at this sanctuary. I highly recommend a winter tour if you are in Red Lodge!
Passing thought to cook city. Decided to check this place out. It's on the smaller side. Everyone was friendly and kind. We got to hear a red tailed hawk squak, a raccon noise, and a bobcat noise.
