Waxing The City

Waxing the City is by far my favorite salon in the area. The staff is very professional and personable. Brooke was my waxer and was fantastic! Brooke always made sure to take the time to educate me on proper skin care for before and after your appointments to be able to achieve the best results for future appointments. I highly recommend Waxing the City!

Randomly closed??? Tried calling multiple times, and then just drove by to see if I could do a walk-in appointment (totally fine if they were booked, nbd) but the door was locked. This was on a Monday afternoon, so normal business hours. Kinda frustrating. Nothing on the voicemail about them being closed either. **Update: the business called multiple times and texted multiple times from multiple phone numbers after I left this review to try to schedule me for later in the week. I however received services elsewhere.

I had Michelle! She was very nice very patient and attentive, their late policy is a little pushy so the couple times I’ve come and been late from work they were really nice about it and still allowed me to come. However my first experience was a little long about an hour, but very informative and very clean, and good enough. My second time however I booked 4 weeks after and there was a significant amount of hair leftover on the front that she did not get as well on the top and sides, she convinced me that the $10 bikini mask would be “life changing” but put it on and then immediately flipped me over without allowing it to dry. The mask did feel nice, but maybe not $10 worth of good considering a nickel size amount was put on and then immediately rubbed off. I sadly more than likely not be back or recommending it again unless somewhere else is booked. It was a nice experience as a first time customer, but the second time was just mediocre and $80+ that wasn’t worth it, and I still have to go home and clean it up myself. She did explain that she won’t go over a place more than twice to get hair, but I’d rather her get the hair than just leave half of it there as I don’t have very sensitive skin, and that IS the service I’m paying for. I also was under the impression that I was supporting a nice women owned business, but it is indeed owned by a middle aged man, which was a bit odd to me. But to each their own. I am rating this based on my good first time and very expensive not worth it second time.

WTC is by far my favorite salon. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, policies are clear and explained, and the facility is kept clean and tidy. The staff is very professional and personable, and they do not pressure you into up-sales. I've seen several different staff members for waxing needs, and I've not had a single bad experience once. One thing i love and respect about the staff is they take the time to educate you on proper skin care for before and after your appointments to be able to achieve the best results for future appointments. I highly recommend WTC.

Michelle was my waxer and did a fantastic job! I get the Brazilian done, which is nerve wracking in itself, but she was very professional, knowledgeable AND comforting. This is my 3rd time booking with her and have finally found my forever person for this service. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
