I have been looking for a self defense school because of the nature of my work and I found this martial arts school and I am enjoying every bit of it and I learned so much in only a couple of months I was there. It greatly help boosting my confidence in doing my job. I was able to defend myself and I am able to defend also those people who do not know how to defend themselves. One day when I was working one of the staff got attack and beat up and I was the only one near in that incident without hesitation I sprung up into action and restrained the attacking person by myself until reinforcement arrived and I was able to get relief in that situation. The victim got to lived another day and I was able to go home without a scratch and I have to do it again tomorrow. That is why this martial arts school is good in self defense and I am staying for a long time.

All in all I have taken three courses at Warrior's Edge: Warrior Women, Warrior Women Advanced, and Escape and Survive. I found the instructors to be very knowledgeable and patient with all skill levels. These are people who are genuinely excited and passionate about the work they are doing. They sincerely want to help you succeed! Warrior's Edge overall has an extremely welcoming atmosphere which is modeled from the very top of the dojo by Michael and Michelle. Everyone from the staff to the regulars were friendly. I would highly recommend any of the courses, particularly the Warrior Women courses. They are very empowering and practical. For a six week course and the amount of instruction received, I found the pricing to be reasonable. In my classes we had participants ranging from the age of 14 to mid 60's. These classes truly are for anyone!

This is a fantastic martial arts school that I am honored to be a part of. This school teaches Aiki Ninjutsu – a subtle, yet devastatingly effective Japanese martial arts system which traces its actual Ninjutsu and Samurai developed lineages back to over 2,000 years. If one is searching for a practical, battle-tested martial arts system that also conditions one’s heart and mind (in addition to one’s body), then look no further. The practical and efficient techniques which comprise this martial arts system work because they had to on real-world battlefields (otherwise, the techniques, which have been passed down over multiple generations, would have died out long ago; along with the practitioners who attempted to utilize them). The fact that these techniques have not died out is a testament to their efficacy in real world “life of death” struggles (as opposed to the highly stylized and artificial encounters more common to "sport" martial art forms instead). The “Kancho” ("Head of House" in Japanese) of this Martial Arts School (Michael Eichenberg) is a former U.S. Marine who has spent decades expanding his knowledge of the fundamental techniques, history and philosophies which comprise Aiki Ninjutsu (He is also a published author on Ninjutsu himself). Aiki Ninjutsu is a martial art Kancho Eichenberg has chosen to dedicate his life to teaching. His depth of knowledge of the subject matter is readily apparent to even the most novice of students. His knowledge of the martial arts techniques and philosophical body of knowledge which comprises Aiki Ninjutsu is only surpassed by his sense of dedication to helping his students achieve their life goals. It is important to note that the school regularly makes available for its students “Classroom” (i.e. Dojo) and “Field-Based” (i.e. Wilderness Instruction) opportunities as well. Again, this martial art is not a stylized “sport” martial art, far removed from the high ("Life or Death") stakes inherent within real world self-defense. Prior to joining this Ninjutsu School, I studied American (Tracy) Kenpo for many years. Rarely have I encountered a more witty, humorous, and emotionally invested Head Martial Arts Instructor, who is committed to not only helping his many students progress as Martial Artists, but also as fully well-rounded and confident human beings. It is a school in which I have found it easy to make new friends to learn and grow with together. I honestly look forward to attending classes here multiple times a week. Regularly attending classes at this school is normally the highlight of my day by far.

I joined the Warrior’s Edge dojo without having any practical martial arts experience, just a keen interest and willingness to learn. I thought I would learn some self defense, discipline, and gain some confidence. I have improved in those areas but have gained so much more than I expected. I now see Aiki Ninjutsu as a lifelong journey that is travelled both physically and mentally. As a student of zen, Taoism, philosophy and self improvement I was pleasantly surprised by the mental component of Aiki Ninjutsu. Train the body and the mind. The class schedule during the week is great if you have a busy or unpredictable schedule. There are plenty of sessions to choose from during the week. Each class is expertly taught. The instructors are extremely learned in Aiki Ninjutsu and the various historic schools that have shaped Aiki Ninjutsu into the finely honed martial that it is. It has a long lineage and there are tradition touches but ultimately it is a practical martial art. The instructors are always willing to offer guidance and the students help each other learn and progress in each class. My 5 year old attends Ninja Rangers and loves it too. The kids have fun while gaining discipline, confidence, awareness of potential dangers, and how to protect themselves.

Having been a student at several different Martial Arts Schools throughout my life, when I was looking for a School for my son to attend, I was very particular on what we were looking for in terms of location, instruction style, and overall atmosphere. What I can say is the Warrior's Edge in Naperville has exceed all my expectations. What I appreciate most is how the program is set up and how it allows new students to progress and learn in a well thought out structure. The instruction style is some of the best I have experienced.
