Visiting Angels

Visiting Angels have been so good for my mom. They are extremely reliable and prompt such that I can leave for work early in the morning and don’t have to worry about them showing up on time. My mom really wasn’t sure if she wanted to try Visiting Angels but now is really glad she has them. They try to be consistent with who they send so she mostly has the same people but there hasn’t been anyone she hasn’t liked. They have all made her feel comfortable and at ease. I have also had to use Visiting Angels for overnight stays a few times when I have traveled for work and they have been great with her. Our experience with Visiting Angels has been outstanding, a huge relief for me, and my mom looks forward to them coming.

I first contacting Visiting Angels when my mom was showing signs of dementia. They served as another set of eyes that allowed her to stay in her home. They helped us again after Mom fell in an assisted living facility and needed more help. The caregivers were kind and took the time to learn about Mom’s past and things that were important to her. Initially, they prepared meals, did light housekeeping, and kept Mom company. After she fell, the caregivers stayed overnight and provided additional hands on help Mom required. Although they were not always able to accommodate our request, they tried to maintain consistency in the caregivers they sent. They were flexible, allowing us to change days and hours to fit our needs. They were upfront and fair about pricing with no extra fees or surprises. To sum it up, they were angels for our family during a very difficult time when we needed a lot of help to care for our mom.

Visiting Angels are amazing! I’ve been physically disabled since birth (49ers).. My mom was my primary caregiver until June. Visiting Angels have stepped in and gone above and beyond with my routine daily care, light housekeeping, and taking me to appointments on occasion. The Angels came to our house to be with my mother during a heavy work period for me. They were truly heaven sent. The ladies were great, they did so much for my mom and helped her quite a bit. If there’s ever a need again I would definitely have them back.

My bad experience with Visiting Angels came early. I phoned asking if some may be able to help my Mom for a short term, two day period prior to her move to assisted living. Chris committed to going to my Mom's place for the assessment the very next day. She then committed to having a representative go to her place on the following Monday and Tuesday prior to her Wednesday move. I had phoned at 3:40 in the afternoon. I had ample time to look for other resources, but since the times had been confirmed for assessment and help for my Mom, I rested assured, got in touch with my Mom and explained that though Visiting Angels prices are higher than a private person to hire for help, they would definitely be worth it. I was so taken aback when Chris phoned me the day she was to meet with my Mom and said she was sorry, but it is just too short of notice. I am still shocked. Our family is completely in a bind now and a commitment should never have been made if there was any question about staff availability. I would have understood if this could not have been confirmed. I now do not have time to find anyone to help with my Mom's move. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED.
