Villas La Mar

We loved our stay at Villa La Mar over Valentine's Day and fully intend to return. Suite #5 was perfect for us! Minimal stairs were important to us and the suite had a lovely, spacious room layout. As said by other reviewers, the views to the sea are gorgeous and we loved the delightful sound of the rolling waves for sleeping! The room had everything you need if one was inclined to make DIY breakfast or snacks. Cesar was the perfect host on-site….and Amanda who handled our reservations and answered my questions was the consummate concierge! The breakfast and pool experience at La Poza sister hotel down the hill made for a perfect resort stay!

Villas La Mar is for real a home away from home. The property is beyond gorgeous in every way, but what really impressed me was the people own and work at this place. I’m so happy that I chose to stay here and I would come back to stay a thousand times. From day one of my arrival (and days before I even stepped on Baja’s land), the owner and the staff at Villas La Mar were generously helpful and welcoming. The first night I arrived, after long day of flight, over 1.5 hours rough driving, and an empty stomach, I was exhausted, but the moment I arrived at La Mar the manager grated me and showed me the room. She was so kind to have already filled a whole bucket of fresh water for my stay. She helped me with my luggage up the stairs and was very considerate to ask if I need to order food delivery given it’s late the hotel is a bit of a drive from the town center. Two nights later I ordered some fish tacos to be delivered to my room, not expecting to pay by cash (I was out of cash that night). The staff helped me with my order and my payment. Throughout my stay here, I asked about a million questions and recommendations, all of which was patiently answered. I travel alone, and I can’t say enough how much of a relief it is when the place I stay have people with kindness and willingness to care for their guests. I felt so cared for and I’m sure I am not the only one who felt this way while staying here.

You've probably read a bunch of reviews already. Let us add to the chorus of those who absolutely loved Villa La Mar. The place was wonderful, sun drenched overlooking the ocean and the occasional whale. The staff was so lovely and attentive and helpful. We were looking for our little bit of paradise and conveniently found it at great value. Thanks for all the love! We will be back!

This is our second time staying at Amanda’s villas. It is perfect for just the two of us. We stayed on the very top floor which was a great workout up the stairs everyday! The views are unmatched, and everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks for making it such a special honeymoon.

We stayed in unit 7 it was gorgeous and the most relaxing vacation spot. You'll definitely need a car to get into town, we were prepared for that and enjoyed being close to the ocean and having the views we did. The staff was so lovely and put a lot of effort into keeping the premises clean and welcoming. The only thing I would have changed is I'd probably have paid the extra to get the unit with the kitchen. I can't wait to come back to stay here again :) Thank you!
