Testosterone treatment works- but if you’re thinking about getting treated at the Tulsa Men’s Clinic, let me share why you should go literally anywhere else. My husband has been a patient for almost a year and while at first we were able to overlook the many, many issues with this clinic, it has become so bad that he’d rather feel terrible and not be treated than continue going here. Let’s talk processes. Every week you have to call ahead of time to pick up your prescription. Is it ready for you like any other pharmacy? No. You wait anywhere from 30-60 min while they get it ready for you. That is, unless you’re one of their friends, because while I’ve spent 11 month waiting even though I call in well in advance (now they’re asking for a week in advance) today I watched a lady walk in and they had it ready for her and she left in under 3 minutes. But you’ll get you blood regularly tested here…. Well about that. You know how at every doctor’s office they call to tell you the results of your blood work? Not here. If you live in the area they’ll require you to make another appointment to share your results in person, even if you’ve been taking the wrong dosage, they’ll let you keep doing that so that you are forced to come back in. Clearly your health is their number 1 priority. Now let’s get to the fun part and talk professionalism. My husband has witnessed and experienced the following as a patient at the clinic: • a nurse cut the fingers off her medical gloves while drawing blood and giving injections so her skin was exposed because she told us she didn’t like wearing the gloves • a nurse had issues drawing blood so she stuck a needle into one vial and then withdrew blood and injected it into the other vial, in front of us • multiple instances of nurses cursing and using swear words (don’t get me wrong we curse but we don’t expect nurses to do it in front of us when they’re acting as professionals) • a nurse cursing at my husband because she brought in the wrong patient’s prescription and he assured her it wasn’t him • nurses telling my husband he was wrong to get his blood let there - even though the doctor had told him to • never following up on messages. If you leave a message on their voicemail don’t expect them to ever call you back. • complete lack of proactive effort. Did you call in a week ahead of time? Yes! Did they know you needed your labs done or documentation of blood letting? Yes! Do they know that they’re low on testosterone due to a lab shortage and won’t give you your full prescription? Yes! Do they tell you any of this? Of course not. We waited 30 min for them to come out and tell us they won’t dispense the medication you’ve already pre-paid for because they need something else on their end, but if you try to fix their mistake and update your documentation today- they’ll charge you extra for a same-day service. Even though they could have saved you time and effort by letting you know ahead of time. • oh, and can you overhear nurses comping about other patients or sharing their treatment plans while you’re in the waiting room? Of course you can! So much for HIPPA.

My fiancé and I went here last week and I was extremely disappointed. The reviews I’ve read are correct in that the staff is very friendly but, that’s where it ends. The adverts say “custom” solutions and it was anything but custom. It was as “one size fits all” approach. Could barely understand the doctor and when I would explain something to him he just sat there looking at me, no response. Insisted on the injection and when my fiancé asked what was in it and possible side effects he had no real answer. Skip to the “leaving with meds” statement, yes, if you’re willing to drop anywhere from $1,500 to $2,800 !! Only sample you get is the initial injection in the office. Then we tell the lady that comes to talk money that we want to wait for lab results, she says that the results will not impact treatment!! WTH!! Adverts tell us that low T affects everything and the dr tells you the same but when it comes to getting the money on the spot, it doesn’t matter!! In short, total waste of time and $99. Not even worth asking for a refund.

Professional and well informed staff. The physician takes time to listen to your signs and symptoms as well as going over labs. The office is very flexible with follow-up visits.
