My husband and I purchased 13 doors from TruStile in 2021. Due to high demand and the lingering supply chain issues from the pandemic we were advised it would be a 6 month wait from order to delivery. Based on their fine reputation we were willing to wait. When we received the long-awaited doors, 4 out of 13 had defects serious enough to merit warranty service. While communication with CEO Jeff Elkin was cordial, he had no impact on the performance of the contracted workers; consequently service issues dragged on for months. Defects acknowledged by TruStile in February were not addressed for repair until early April. At that time, the work was promised to be completed in 2 weeks and it took 6 weeks. When the doors were finally returned in May, they were filthy and dinged. In fact, one door fell on a windowsill before being rehung in our newly renovated home. The windowsill required sanding and painting. Additionally, there was a carved letter ’n’ on the backside of one of the ‘repaired’ new doors when it was returned. The ‘carving’ required filling and sanding before being repainted by us. For doors that cost in the neighborhood of 4 figures each, we expected better service! Even our contractor wore gloves when installing the doors but not the TruStile contractors, hence the fingerprints and dirt all over the returned doors. I don’t dispute the quality of the doors which were not defective, but goodness help you if you need support after delivery with defective doors. I don’t believe a company of this caliber should sell in a region if they don’t have reliable contractors to support repairs in a professional and timely manner. Poor communication, over-promising and underdelivering and sloppy service made our experience with TruStile a true disappointment. Buyer beware.
Im tired of hearing how good this product is. It's not. The reveals on the head are always 1/4" and for that reason the latch is always lower than the strike mortise, so you'd best adjust it before paint. Also the factory always nails the stop tight to the door on the hinge side. Not good for the doorhanger. They should address these problems for the prices they're charging
Check-in at their office for loading and they are very polite and professional. Got a door right away because it happens that they are not so busy at the moment. Good job!
Fantastic company selling high quality MDF doors. It greatly improved the value of my house and not to mention the compliments I receive from guests. I highly recommend these doors
