Toby's Mid-Valley Doors

They came out to fix our garage door last week very promptly. They gave my wife an estimate over the phone when she explained the issue. When the serviceman got here they did the work efficiently and well. The final price was a bit less than the estimate. Apparently what my wife and I thought was wrong was not wrong; it was something else entirely. Toby's Doors could have easily charged us the estimated price and went along with our amateur assessment, HOWEVER, they showed honesty and integrity. After assessing and fixing the issue themselves they saw it was something else and charged accordingly. (It's a tired cliche) But it really IS hard to find an honest repairman. Toby's Doors is honest and with integrity. I highly recommend! They were recommended to me and I am recommending them to whoever reads this.

I am a general contractor and ordered a garage door on February 1st, they said it would take 3-4 weeks to get here, it was about 6 weeks when it got here. That being said when the door got here there was supposed to be 6 panels and only 4 showed up, they said they didn't know what happened, after another 3-4 weeks the remaining 2 panels showed up and the werent the same as the others. They let me borrow two panels for temporary use and was told that when the panels came in they would deliver and remove temp ones out and reinstall new ones, well 3 weeks later they showed up and guess what, they only dropped them off and left the temp ones there installed. I will never do business with them again since they can never give you an answer about the products they sell. Avoid headaches and take business somewhere else were someone actually cares.

Once upon a time they were great... at first. New front door and installed. They were so good I ordered patio doors and an interior door. Well it has been 2 years since I ordered the doors, frequent phone calls and in person visits. A lot of broken promises. I wanted to support local business, but Toby's Doors is not interested in local customers - if you're a contractor you get the service. I went elsewhere.

In July of 2021, I went in to order a garage door and I dealt with Carolyn who orders the garage doors. She said that due to Covid the orders were taking 8-12 weeks. The price was $1600. I agreed. I decided 12 weeks later to order a front door also and to check on status of my garage door. I was told I never placed the order? That there was no order or any paperwork? Ok I was understanding and I place the order AGAIN. I was told by Carolyn that SHE WOULD HONOR THE PRICE OF $1600. That was not the case. Today I called on my garage door and it’s here and ready to be installed BUT…. Carolyn now tells me the price is $1975! Not only did she make me feel that I NEVER placed the initial order, now she imposes an additional $375 because she did not remember me placing the initial order and even tho she said she would honor the $1600? She lied! That is not good business ethics. I am so disappointed.
