Tierra Encantada - Hiawatha

We've been taking our two and a half year old daughter to Tierra Encantada since she was three months old and have loved it. Its an excellent fit for our family. They made a stressful transition easy for us and its been clear that not only do they care for her and want her to succeed but she loves being there. The staff beyond just her classroom teachers greet her by name and with enthusiasm. On top of that her skills and mental development would not be at the level they are without their thoughtful lesson plans and support. We've especially loved being able to have Maritza as her teacher in both the infant and toddler rooms. It's clear to us that she's invested in the success of the center and individual kids. Would highly recommend the Hiawatha center!

I love Tierra!! My baby is so excited to go there each day and the teachers are equally excited to see her. Seeing her growth and how much she is developing gives me tremendous confidence in the programming at Tierra and how capable the teachers are. I am also slowly learning a little Spanish myself and I enjoy that connection. I cannot give them enough credit and wish I could give them more han 5 stars!!

Very grateful to all of the staff and admin at Tierra Encantada-Hiawatha. Both of our kiddos are in the daycare, and we can see how well they are supported, cared for, and enjoying the community that is provided. We have a strong connection to all of the staff in our kids' rooms, and they are always open to chatting, catching up, and checking in. This is vital. As well, we can see how the staff supports development socially and with early academics. Knowing how important it is for all of our children to have a nurturing and positive environment, we're thankful to be in community with the folks at the Hiawatha site.

We have been going to Tierra for over 3 years now. Both our children have flourished there. The teachers are so amazing and devoted. Ms. Amada in Pre-D has helped our daughter progress so much with her writing skills as well as her basic fluency in Spanish. We recommend Tierra to anyone we know! I have seen reviews regarding the treatment of children of color and I have to say that has not been our experience at all. Our children have been well supported throughout our entire experience and we feel that any concerns we have brought forward have been taken seriously and addressed promptly.

Our daughter Gwen has been attending TE since fall 2020 and freya joined her in fall 2022. They treat our girls like family and we are impressed how quick they pick up Spanish. We especially are impressed with how much Gwen is learning in pre-k D and highly recommend this classroom. Freya loves her teachers in toddler E. We will be sad when it is time for our girls to move to kindergarten over the next few years.
