Really overpriced which is quite disappointing because I only came here because I was told it was one of the cheaper options. $300 for 2 boxes that are less than 15 pounds?? I don’t think so. They also wanted to charge me $30 for a new box on top of it all. I went to FedEx up the street instead and paid $120. The staff were really helpful and kind even though they seemed a bit new to the job.
My son and I were recently quarantined with covid, and once able to get a power of attorney form notarized, went to this UPS store with our masks on. Although there were seven UPS Store employees helping three customers at the counter, we waited 15 minutes, and said that we wanted to have a paper notarized. The short old lady with gray/blonde hair said that they were busy, and that we'd have to wait for her to service the seven customers who were in line behind us. Why should we have to wait for customers in line behind us to get served before us? The employee said that she did not know that we were already waiting 15/20 minutes before telling us to wait until they could service other customers. Maybe the employee should have asked if we were waiting in line, and not assumed that we just walked up to the front. Maybe I should have told her that we were waiting a long time already.
The customer service leaves something to be desired here. There were no other customers and two people working when I came in - one looked at me and then laughed into her arms the whole time I was there. The other one who helped me gave me dirty looks and the only thing she said to me was to ask if I wanted the copy of my receipt at the end. It has been a long time since I have felt so unwelcome somewhere. The service I did receive was quick and efficient, however.
Update - I returned several months later and a different person helped me this time. The wait was short and the woman who helped me was quick, friendly, and extra helpful.
I went into this store at 8am this morning. The door was unlocked so I went in. After standing there for a few moments an older man came around the corner and exclaimed “well I guess we’re open” in a sarcastic voice. If you don’t want to be open yet then don’t unlock your door! Very unfriendly and rude!
