Stone Mountain Park Campground

Beautiful park, comfortable and pleasant places. Very friendly staff. We were in the Blue Sites. Beautiful views on this edge. There needs to be a little renovation to the bathrooms however they were kept clean. And also on the road. We couldn't climb the stone mountain due to a family mishap and we had to leave early. We will surely return and enjoy its natural beauty and attractions even more. Here I share some photos.

The laser light show was really good. The kids loved it. The drone show was awesome. Not alot to do at the amusement park but still a lot of family fun. Campground was perfect I felt. Easy to set up. Easy to find the campsite . Had a good view. I have a 38 ft camper and had plenty of room to set up in camp site with plenty of room around camper.

My husband and I have been going to Stone Mountain Campground since 2018. It started out just a one-time visit. But the first visit, my husband had two grandma seizures and ended up in Atlanta Trama Center for a week. When it came time to leave the camp ground. They took me in like family. I was staying in a yurt. They made sure I was safe until I could take my husband home just like family. We come back every year and are still treated the same. Nice, quiet, family oriented, There are sites for tents, small and large campers, and yurts. Also, there are fire pits and charcoal grills. On site, there's a small store for things you might have forgotten or drinks ,wood, etc. A big screen TV on site to watch and a swimming pool. It sat right off of Stone Mountain Lake beautiful view. Right beside the Camp ground is is Stone Mountain. If you like to camp, this is a must. You won't regret it.

We stayed here for about 5 days in late July, and the campground itself was peaceful, and next to the lake. It wasn't like some campgrounds that have a water park etc. It was really peaceful and comfortable. The park, including the mountain, the lake, the kayaking and scenery have more than enough to keep a family with kids very much occupied and happily entertained. Each site had a fire ring, and it was a really great experience for us. Would recommend if you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful camping experience with plenty to do. 👍🏼
