Southern Fuegian Railway

A fun and interesting experience. The historic station is beautifully preserved and decorated. Cafe, souvenirs etc. available. Train ride about 2 hours with a 20 minute stop at a waterfall along the way. The multilingual narration on earphones about the origins of the Ushuaia prison and railway is very interesting. Online bookings in advance recommended, both for train and the Parque National. Note: check Spam folder for the train ticket/QR code if not received after payment. Staff at the ticket office very helpful and fully bilingual.

Multi language train experience with great views. Try to get a seat on the right side (from the station closest to Ushuaia, but both sides offer good views. Also known as "The end of the world train". A must ride if you are in town. There are at least two options that I know of. The first of first class with a meal, and you can purchase it online (not sure about in person) and it's not included in the local tour trips. The second one is the one that comes with your tour company and you can pay at said companies. Note: you can purchase a first class ticket and still do the tour, without the cost of a regular ticket. Just be sure you talk to the tour company about it.

What a great experience; beautiful vistas and interesting history. Very well organized; perfectly maintained; not too crowded because of train capacity... The people are super organized, professional, friendly & helpful.

Nice trip with old railway and scenic views on the route. They have a 'surprise' during a stop, some people may find it cool but I was indifferent. In the train, there are audio guides in multiple languages and earbuds were provided by company.

Could book in advance and save minimum 30 minutes. Quite romantic, picturesque, and even idyllic(?) Maybe I should have treid the train with food. Taxi ride back and forth cost me around 13 USD They take a photo of you before the trip and in front of the train with the backdrop of the mountain. Charge you around 15 USD if you want to take(Digital file as well) the photo. I think it is worth the money especially if you are a solo traveller and don't have much nice photos of yourself. A must do symbolic experience overall!
