Sharkeys Cuts for Kids - Colorado Springs

I am floored with our experience trying out Sharkeys today. We booked a haircut for both our girls - $38 for wash, cut & blowdry. Both my girls were rushed through - there was no wash for either of them. They got their hair cuts and then neither of them were blow dried. When our oldest asked about it - she was told “my next client is here” and had her cape removed. The environment was not welcoming at all. Staff had their own family in there receiving cuts that had better care than us. Then at checkout - we were still charged for the full $38. I asked if I could just be charged for the cut since we didn’t receive a wash or blow dry on either kid - staff member said “those are complimentary with the cut” …okay but we still didn’t even get them? So what am I paying $38 for if we didn’t receive the full package? Nobody said anything. I paid and left. Then I got home and blew dry my girls hair and this is my youngest. She has a random layer on the right side of her head that is AWFUL and again it’s only on one side of her head??! So $80 later and now I will be paying for another service somewhere else tomorrow to fix my babys hair.

This place is wonderful, and very, very kid-friendly. The ladies who were there were very kind and attentive to the children they were serving. They offered the children a show to watch or a game to play to help take their minds off their hair getting cut. My son is shy and fears the clippers, but the stylist who cut his hair was incredibly patient and nice. We will definitely return.

Shawna is absolutely amazing! This place is so much fun. For little kids they have Power Wheels on poles that really work instead of chairs. Each station has a TV and they can pick what they want to watch. We’ve been there three times and wouldn’t go anywhere else. My kiddo decided to give herself bangs and Shawna fixed her very bad attempt. She put pink spray in her hair, painted her nails, gave her a ring, balloon, sucker, and mermaid temp tattoo. It’s pricey but well worth it for the experience. My kid was giddy with joy the whole time and told me she had the best day ever when we left. Priceless! They do birthday parties for up to 12 kids for $500-hair styles, pizza, decorations, nail painting and dresses to borrow or a fashion show are all included. We are definitely considering it! Sounds like a blast!

Highly recommend Shawna!!! My son has sensory issues and doesn’t talk yet, and we haven’t had the best hair cut experiences. There were some that did good with him, but no one that we really fell in love with. Shawna was so patient with him, talked with him, and let him get comfortable with all of her tools and hold onto a couple of her combs, and never showed even the slightest bit of frustration when he would pull away or not sit still. This was the first time he has ever had his hair cut without myself or anyone else having to hold his hands or his head. Truly the best haircut experience he has had and I won’t ever take him to anyone else. Thank you Shawna!!!

We came here to get my son his first haircut today on 11/25. We had an appointment when we walked in the lady at the front desk was not to kind, she had an attitude the whole time being there from checking in and checking out not very friendly. The front desk is the first person to greet you and at least give a smile and maybe some eye contact. Other then her we had a great experience, the lady who gave my son his haircut Kylyn she was very patient and even though my son is only 18months old she walked him and told him every step of what she was doing even if he did not understand. Much appreciated
