I really wanted a cute blow out, but before I booked my appointment I decided to call to make sure I would’ve be judged for being a part of the lgbTq community, to make sure it was safe for me! I talked to the sweetest lady on the phone, I told her I was interested in a blowout and asked if it would be a problem if I was trans. Her response was pretty much “You are such a thoughtful person for even worrying about that! Girl, get on over here and I’ll give you a blowout myself!” I booked an appointment, had beautifully bouncy curls for 3 days! Really great experience!
I was in town on business and booked an appointment with Quinn. She was SO MUCH FUN to visit with. I do not get a lot of ME time with my work schedule. Quinn made my morning!!! Not to mention my hair looked amazing and lasted for days!! Seriously, I would give my experience a 10 out of 5 for sure! Thank you Quinn!!!!
I definitely will not be recommending Reno Blow Dry Bar to anyone. I came in on my 21st birthday in hopes of receiving beautiful, bouncy, and voluminous hair for the party I had later that evening. First off, my service providers nail extensions were broken, so her nails kept getting stuck in my hair and pulling it out. Second, the wash was very poorly done, because of her nails getting caught, she only half heartedly washed my hair. And I never received the deep conditioning treatment that I booked for. Aside from that, my hair was not completely rinsed. There was shampoo still on my neck. Thirdly, the products used for the actual blowout are terrible. I'm a licensed professional myself, and to say I was shocked is an understatement. One of the dry sprays used smelled like sulfur. It's four days later and two washes later and my hair still stinks like rotten eggs. And not to mention, my hair was burnt. It's extremely dry and brittle now. The disappointment doesn't end there. All night at the party people kept asking why my hair stunk. It filled the room and engulfed the car. It was not worth one penny spent. Even if the smell had subsided the next day I'd still be disappointed because my hair was completely flat the following morning. I wanted soft, flowy, and voluminous hair, I left with sticky, stinky, and burnt hair.
Loved coming here. I came here for an updo and makeup. They had me done with both hair and makeup in an hour and a half. They were quick and friendly and made me feel confident and beautiful!
My wife had an appt. With a stylist. The Stylist was 30 minutes late. She did a good job. She also stated they were not very Friendly.
So I guess just OK.
Price was fair.
