Premier Pools and Spas Run away! They carry the brand of pool we wanted and love the pool but, this Des Moines franchise is very unprofessional and don't stand behind what they say. First of all everything we agree to in our pool proposal didn't matter if they didn't put it into the contract. So multiple things didn't get done or were at an extra cost. And somethings in the contract they refused to do. Contract said they would put back any fencing they removed, they didn't and I had to have it reinstalled after they wouldn't. No temporary safety fence was installed during project even though it was in contract. Concrete was done very poorly and we were overcharged. We were told we would only be charged for what was installed once final layout is done at a price of $21 a sf which is $4 over other professionals in the area. First they needed extra money in advanced of the pour for thick edge to create a wall around 2 spots. They only pour a quarter of what was planned. Poured almost 100 sf less of the slab we were charged for. They were going to pour slab on bare dirt in a lot of areas. We got them to hold off on pour so we could get it prepped properly and run drain pipe outside of slab which they had just buried half way across the patio to be poured. After we ran plumbing and worked on moving a lot of dirt and rock and sent pictures to the foreman the said they would fix the rest. Some things they did some they didn't. Patio pitches the wrong way so nothing we can do next to removing and having someone else do it. Charged us for pool permit and then had us pay and pull the permit with city and didn't give us a refund. Pool lights were to include electrical and transformer which we did not receive transformer had to use our own and had to supply conduit and run it our self for bubblers. Kept being told someone would be by for chemical start up and balancing never happened till it was time to winterize the pool. So for the month and a half it was open we had to do all water treatment. Company has very poor in-house communication one person says it will be taken care of, while another says it's not included even when it is in the contract. Posting this I will probably not get any warranty work if needed on pool but can not believe anyone would do business this way. After all was done I have heard stories from other pool companies while seeking a service provider of other peoples problems. Really wish somebody would have posted them. To save us this heart ache. Before you spend over $90K on a pool project talk with installed customers not service customers.

I give 2 stars because our pool works. Otherwise they’d get one star. They were very hard to get in contact with & when we didn’t we never got a definitive answer & it would always be changing. They never finished the job as our pool was being installed at end of season. Come 2023 opening our pool we found they put a lock on our system to where we had control over nothing. They preach customers for life but only seeing negative reviews. As a customer who wants their backyard to look beautiful & be proud of. Consider another company due to premier being unable to fix & complete their mistakes leaving us with the final repairs.

not very efficient in working through paperwork and responsive on email. I also would watch out for their sales event. i had revised my review, to 4s it looks like they improved and installation is on going so far experience has been good
