Pierson Wildlife Museum Learning Center

I loved the experience and the information I learned about the different animals!

We had a GREAT visit, by appointment. Every member of the family was able to connect with the museum on some level. The adults enjoyed learning about taxidermy, little ones liked the interactive game, coloring activity, and photo ops. Older kids enjoyed spotting animals they found on the key and reading about the wildlife. It's a rare opportunity to see these animals up close in detail. The tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of the museum and welcoming.

Heck of a trophy collection! Glad its also being used as a place to educate! However the place is definitely a bit misunderstood by the tour guide. I understand he might have been a good man. But the man wasn't a saint and certainly didn't only kill the sick and old. He was a trophy hunter, which is totally fine in my book but the point still stands!

My kids liked looking at the animals. The "guide" gave an unnecessary tour, after telling us we could look wthout him. He seemed to be unsure if they were cash only or if they accepted checks or cards when we entered. He gave me a list of the animals to look for and then insisted I had to give the paper back before leaving, I am not sure I'd this is the norm ? The site said tours could be 45min long, I am not sure how. Also the bathroom not able to be used. The guide made the visit uncomfortable, standing too close, trying to chastise my kids for doing something he said was ok for them to do, and even commenting on how old he thought I was.

So many animals and information in one spot !!
