Outlets of Des Moines

There were all the popular stores here. If you're looking for an outlet store and it exists, then it's here. My sister and I spent the day shopping here and there were some great deals on some great fashion. If you're looking for clothes, shoes, bags, purses, jewelry or anything along those lines you're going to find it here. The atmosphere here is a beautiful outdoor shopping mall with gorgeous plants and flowers during the spring summer and there were fireplaces for those times when the temperatures where more appropriate. I did not notice any restaurants in this outlet mall but there were places to eat and drink in the surrounding areas. We found what we were looking for and left happy overall, not too crowded and great deals! I would recall shopping here if you're looking for retail stores but want a deal.

Came to visit the Christmas Light display and half the light were not on. Disappointed 😞

I've only been there a few times and have no complaints. IBEW was just out there to help with the jolly holiday lights being Adventureland won't let them set up out there this year. Which is a shame. But at least the outlet mall allowed them to set up there. The donations go to a good cause

I just don't get the "outlet mall" vibe here. Outlet malls, as I remember them, are supposed to have all the popular stores that aren't commonly found all over with discounts that make it worth spending the whole day and your whole wallet on. Maybe that's just me trying to remember way back when times were different. I guess shopping at home has played a big part in the change. So I shouldn't technically blame it on the mall itself but still, where are the 'outlet mall discounts' that they're so famous for? I guess it just seems like outdoor street shops, or a town center to me, and typically, a quiet one at that. A 100 million dollar disappointment.

Highly recommend the Merrill's store. Very helpful staff that was very accommodating. Looking forward to buying more shoes there.
