I wish I'd gone here first! I needed new boots. Wolverine no longer makes the model I like. Twice, I tried buying on line but returned them twice for poor fit. I found some I liked at both Blain's and Tractor Supply, but neither had my size. So I Googled "Kalamazoo work boots". Fortunately, the search returned Okun Bros Shoes in downtown Kalamazoo. They have lots of boots to choose from. Darius is very knowledgeable and asked great questions to narrow the selection. Each boot that looked promising was available in my size! I found exactly the boot I was looking for and the price was fair. If you are looking for quality work boots, go here first.

My husband and I found this shoe store by happy accident-we were walking by, about to cross the street, but a glimpse of the interior pulled us in. Five minutes later, we left. I had the perfect new winter boots on my feet, our bank balance barely dented because of the amazing sale price. A wide selection of superior brands of shoes and boots. We were especially pleased to see how many lines they carried that are designed for multiple service/hospitality industries. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, the right balance of customer service and people skills. We felt helped without getting a sales pitch. As a former salesperson I found this very appealing...I am wearing my Keen boots as I write this. Support this longtime local business; you will have happy feet.

Was unsatisfied from the beginning. Took almost 2.5 weeks to get a pair of boots in (I called another store and they could get the same boots in a matter of days). Customer service was definitely lacking (until I informed them I was going to go to the other store instead). Will never get any of my business again.

Chip was very helpful to us. He actually listened to what I needed, paid attention to how I walk and stand and helped me find the perfect shoe. I highly recommend shopping here for quality shoes and top notch service.

Had a great day experience it was my first time in and I was looking for a steel toe boot. They have a nice selection and they were able to find a boot to fit all my needs and answer all my questions. Chip helped me out for almost an hour he was super knowledgeable and helpful.
