This is such a great little hidden gem for animal lovers. The family had so much fun on the safari drive through. The animals come up to the car for food. The other side of the park is a petting zoo where you can feed and pet llamas, alpacas, goats, and more. The staff were very friendly and informative.
My family and I had the pleasure of visiting the park last week on 11/24. We purchased the whole park pass and loved that decision the petting zoo was a lot of fun for the kiddos and the puppy’s were a bonus ( mom fell in love with a Great Pyrenees ❤️. For our walking tour we had Coffee as our guide and he was excellent and very knowledgeable! Walked us through the animals and gave us some excellent information without being overwhelming. On the drive through tour we got to see some awesome animals in their elements great photo ops, kids fully enjoyed! Coffee went out of his way to do a small animal encounter with us that was very fun and informative! Overall you can tell
How much those animals are loved and cared for, the facility was clean and everything ran smoothly. 10/10 would recommend!! Thank you for the experience
We spent nearly the entire day here and didn’t want to leave! The staff are amazing, and you can tell they really have love for their animals there. My husband and I had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back. We did the drive-thru safari, wildlife walk tour, and even got to meet the animals, and pet and fed them. If you’re in the area, do not pass up this opportunity! It’s well worth the money, and you will have a great time.
Also big shoutout to Ethan and Coffee! They were very pleasant, very informative, and all around great part of the team. If I could give this 10/10 stars I would!!
Great zoo! We love this place. All the animals are well taken care of. The exhibits are set up for easy viewing. The guided tour never disappoints, and the drive thru safari is amazing. The animals are so sweet and friendly. My 1 1/2 and 5 yr old grandchildren enjoyed every minute there.
We had a mixed experience at the North Georgia Zoo. We had thought that it would be comparable other major zoos weve been to. We assumed we'd be walking around and seeing animals. Instead this zoo is a bit different. The first part we did was like a petting zoo with turtles, chickens, pigs, goats, and llamas. They were all very friendly and would eat out of your hand if you pay more for food.
Next we did a drive through safari. This was a little more familiar with all of the animals on the sides but you drive by instead of walk around. There were a lot more traditional zoo animals and less of the farm animals. Our favorite part was the bush section. You just turn off the road and drive right through the animals! We had alpaca, bison, and cows cone right up. They even made a traffic jam with animals wanting to be so close. It was quite unique and different.
The zoo seems to have a lot of paid extras which we did none of and still had a decent time.
