NDSU offers an oasis in the middle of the prairie. You find trees, manicured gardens and a pleasant atmosphere. The campus is very walkable. I liked the buildings for their architecture. The campus is surprisingly large when you consider all the athletic facilities.
I am planning to apply for its master's program of mental health counseling. Except for the cold winter, can anyone tell me more about the university, like your study experience there as an international student?
I like attending here. People are really nice, lots of professors have tons of resources available for students to do their best work and improve themselves. However, I personally believe the parking situation here is absolutely abysmal. Commuter students and dorm students can park in the same lot, which means the lots are almost completely full by noon everyday and commuters have to park much farther. On top of that, you pay almost 200$ every year so you can walk over 15 minutes in harsh winter temps to your classes. They have lots closer to the buildings, but they completely doubled the prices to park in those lots. Last year I could afford a 5$ parking fee for the day if it was too cold or I was running late to class. This year it's closer to 10-15$ to park for the day, which is insane considering all the other fees we get charged with. They should really focus the money going towards students and faculty, but sadly all anyone cares about here is sports and it shows.
NDSU is By far the greatest school in the United States Of America. Even as a kid my family had ties to the school. An the only thing keeping me going during middle and high school was being able to go there. I worked so hard to be able to even have a chance to go here. Sadly, due to multiple health issues, I was never able to go. Even so, I still have that Bison pride burning down deep in my heart. And even though I never got to actually attend, I hope I can still be considered an honorary Bison. To anyone going and graduating from here, all I have to say is congratulations. Never lose that NDSU spirit!!
The Fargodome did not disapoint!! It was easy to get to. No parking issues. Had nice comfy seats,( get the red ones). Bathrooms were clean and stocked. Great job. And it wasn't top hot either.
