Clean, nicely decorated rooms in a great location with wonderful service. We stayed in a regular King room in March.
Other reviews were accurate: they offer a lot of free goodies and although we didn't make use of their help for booking tours/cars, we did hear overhear the front desk very patiently helping some other troublesome visitors for a while (in English too!) We felt safe walking around the area together at night (10pm). Overall, we would love to stay here again and highly recommend.
Pros:
- Has A/C air conditioning units in the rooms
- Free pastries, tea, coffee, candy bar, mezcal bar, cooler with bottled water, soda at all hours in the common areas
- 24 hour access to the rooftop lounge area
- Check in gift of hand crafted soap per person (you choose a scent). This is separate from the basic toiletries in the room.
- Check out gift of traditional Mexican dress for ladies and coffee grounds from Oaxaca
- Helpful bilingual service
- Happy to hold our bags for a few hours after check out
- Provided hair dryer, iron, and safe
Cons:
- Toiletries a bit basic (2 in 1 shampoo). No facial tissues box.
- Not wheelchair accessible (stairs everywhere)
- Not the newest building, but honestly very clean and has much more character than a brand name high rise hotel
Maybe the loveliest hotel I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. The location alone is worth a review. But everything from the staff to the beautiful building and small touches make it absolutely perfect. I’m absolutely smitten. My brother and I stayed here for 5 days and had such a great time. Left nothing to the imagination for any type of stay you are looking for. We spent all day and night walking and needed somewhere cool and cozy to crash. But you could easily spend a romantic getaway here as well. I loved it. When I’m back in CDMX this is where I’ll stay.
We loved our stay at NaNa Vida! The location is fantastic, and our room was spacious and beautifully designed. What really made this hotel stand out was the service. Everyone from the staff was extremely welcoming, friendly and kind, and went out of their way to help us enjoy our holiday. We travelled around Mexico for almost 3 weeks, but NaNa Vida was by far the best (and best value) place we stayed at.
This hotel is in a very convenient and safe location to most activities. The staff and the cleaning crew are amazing very friendly helpful and welcoming .
(Julian&Alex) were our main point of contact in the front desk and were always above and beyond to make our stay pleasant,They even gave us nice gifts and natural soap they make fresh for you which is a very nice touch.
They provide a full kitchen with free drinks, pan dulce and other stuff you can utilize.
Rooms are of a good size and very unique with different artists contributing to each room which is amazing.
The roof is also really nice and spacious with nice view and seating.
Overall I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Mexico City.
Superb location!! Multiple restaurants and bars a stones throw away. Very friendly, super hospitable and helpful staff. Well designed, fairly new, well stocked and good looking rooms. Why only 4 stars for the room? Two things let it down. The bed unfortunately was not comfortable at all, I woke up every morning with a bad back. The soundproofing was also not quite up to scratch, not from the street, no problems there, but through the door to the hallway and floor below. I would still highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Mexico city but they should look into fixing these two things.
