We've brought our cars here on several occasions and have had good luck. They are transparent about the work they are doing and provide updates throughout the process. This includes photos, text messages, and calls. They will not do work they don't feel is necessary, which is reassuring because some places will simply do the work if you ask, even if it's not needed. For the most part their prices are competitive, but sometimes they are overpriced, so do your research and shop around. The only issue we had recently was we asked if the breaks needed to be replaced on one of our cars, since it squeaks when we back up. They said they were in good shape. So, instead they suggested adjusting them. The car is still squeaking when we back up and now the wheel is shaking when we break. We will call them this week to see what can be done, as the shaking was not a problem before. Aside from this little hiccup, we are happy with the service we've received here and recommend their services.

I went here the summer of 2022 for an A/C evacuate & recharge on my old 2002 Toyota Tundra. When I dropped off the truck I told them the AC system was leaking but I was hoping to get one more year of use out of it. They called me an hour or so later to say they were not willing to recharge the AC system due to the negative environmental impact of it leaking. They suggested that I replace everything. I respected the decision with regards to the AC recharge and stated that the truck wasn't worth the investment of replacing the whole system. When I went to pick up the truck they wanted to charge me $120. I asked what the charges were for. The person at the front desk told me "for the AC evacuate & recharge", which was listed on the bill. I told him that service was never done. His manager came to the desk a brown-haired middle-aged man (I don't remember his name) and told me the charge was for an inspection. I asked "Is this for the complimentary inspection you told me about when I dropped off the truck?" He rolled his eyes and told me that I owed the $120 for them looking at the AC even though I told them it was leaking when I came in. At that point my boyfriend stepped in and the manager tossed my keys across the counter and rudely told us both to leave, which made me feel like I was the one doing something wrong. As a woman, I felt very uncomfortable at this business and would recommend anyone going there carefully check over their bill.

I've always changed my own oil, but I decided to bring it in somewhere instead this time. Compared to doing it yourself it is a little spendy, but besides that the service was great. It was done in about 30 minutes and the people who worked here were very nice. Highly recommend coming here!

Strange and awkward interaction with staff here, I got my oil changed at Midas a month or so ago (not this location) and they told me they offer a free service to customers to fill air in tires. My front driver side tire has been looking a little low, I even had a neighbor kindly point it out to me. I figured why not just stop in and try out their service? After speaking to guy at the front desk I sat in the bay line for maybe 5 or so minutes (not a huge deal) after nobody came out to me, so I called and then someone came out to fill my tires. This person was not friendly, his name was Fuy or Guy or something along those lines (I think), and before he even checked the tire pressure of the tire that I was there for, he said “your engine is in the front of your car, that’s why the front tires look lower.” I was pretty caught off guard that he even said that, I highly doubt he would have said that to a man. I’m 35 years old I’m pretty sure I knew that the engine was in the front of my car. I politely told him I’ve been driving my car for almost ten years and I was pretty sure it was lower than normal and that I’d rather be safe than sorry. He literally said “you’ve been driving this for ten years? You should get a new car, you’re too pretty to be driving this”. It was so rude and what an odd thing to say to a customer? The entire interaction was so uncomfortable, I absolutely do not recommend going here as a woman by yourself. He would not have treated me like that if there was a man with me. Will be taking my future business elsewhere.

I got a set of new tires in early July. I was unfortunate, rather “unlucky”, that my set had defective tires. The tires refused to properly balance and caused my vehicle to shake. I was out of town the first time and so I had to go to a Firestone shop, they were horrible. When I made it back into town, this Midas shop got me in as quickly as they could and balanced my tires for free as per their policy. I had to travel out of town again and the tires were still causing a shake. As soon as I made it back to St. Paul, I emailed the general manager expressing disappointment and dissatisfaction with the set and requested an exchange (as per Cooper Tire policy). They took back my tires and placed new, more expensive set and I paid the difference, which I think is fair for everyone. They didn’t charge me for mounting or balancing the new set. Again, this is very fair. I haven’t had an opportunity to take the new set out for a spin at freeway speed, fingers crossed, and I hope the issue is fixed. In all, I am writing this review to express my sincere gratitude. This shop has done very well by me and treated me with utmost respect and professionalism. Dan did a great job at navigating this issue with me and gave me sincere recommendations. He could have up-sold me to the most expensive replacement set but he gave me a genuine recommendation. I’m happy to recommend this Midas to friends and family. Thanks!!
