I never imagined something like this could happen to me. It turns out that I live in Switzerland, and I pay private insurance in Spain for my gynecology consultations. I ask for a vacation, and I go to an appointment with Dr. Gutierrez-Cecchini in which she requests a mammogram (as I understood "urgent") and they give me one for 07/10/2024 (8 months!!!!!).
Today was my last visit to the Medical Center, and of course, my last month of insurance. It is unthinkable that this could happen... how can we people who live outside the EU and want to OPTIONALLY pay for what we understand is URGENT?
WITH ME, OR WITH ANY OF MINE, NEVER AGAIN.
The treatment I received was spectacular. The doctor and nurses were always attentive to me and explained everything that was happening. I felt very comfortable at all times. Furthermore, they were always willing to answer all my questions and concerns.
The food at the hospital was very good. I was very surprised because I never expected it to be so good. There was always something new on the menu and you could choose from several options. The truth is that the food helped me feel better during my stay
The service at the hospital was great too. All facilities were very clean and in perfect condition. There was also a wonderful cleaner on the second floor, Vanesa, who left everything very clean. Every day they cleaned the patients' room and all the hallways. In addition, there were many services, including that there is a bed for the visitor.
The only problem I found was that the emergency service was a bit overwhelmed. This wasn't a problem for me though.
Overall, my experience at the hospital was excellent. I am very grateful to Dr. Pulmonologist Llaneza and all the nurses who treated me and especially to Nurse Patricia, she was on the second floor, she was very nice to me and all the healthcare staff.
Very grateful to all the health personnel who are always there to help.
This center takes advantage of the lack of competition in Asturias and provides terrible service. It is materially impossible for them to pick up your phone in radiology (which for some reason is not integrated into the general appointment system) and you cannot make them on the Web either. They must do very well when they give such terrible treatment to their clients, I say clients and not patients, because one, desperate, may not end up being one of this center
They ask you to arrive half an hour before the time at which you are scheduled, but they do not require the same from the doctor. We had an appointment at 8:45 and the doctor didn't come into the office until 9:15. In the end, an hour of waiting plus the time it takes to serve people. Paying for a private service should at least mean that you don't laugh in the faces of the patients who are there waiting an hour for you to deign to show up.
In the emergency room since 9 p.m. and it's already 12:15 a.m. and here we are still, with many people still ahead. They call a number (there are already several) no one gets up and 10/20 minutes pass and they don't call anyone else, we ask and the person at reception says that the doctor is the one calling. It is supposed to be a private service. It pays! You want to charge but you don't have enough staff to provide an acceptable service. I just need a prescription for a urine infection. We will have to have a little respect for those of us who pay for the painful service you provide. If I could give a 0 it would be zero stars.
