The Little Rock Zoo's Glow Wild light display at Christmas is a must see on any Christmas light tour of Arkansas. There are hundreds of lighted displays of various real and mythical animals. The huge dragon was worth going to see by itself. We were lucky and had great weather on a night when there were tornadoes hitting other parts of the south. It wasn't crowded and I was able to quickly find a parking spot. The best part was that parking was free but there was a $20 charge per person to get in.
Attended the GloWild event. Fantastic, highly recommend families, date night, solo mediation visit. Bring your camera, photo ops galore! Interactive displays, please be respectful- a lot of care and work has obviously gone into this project. Money well spent!
Little Rock zoo is a good place for small kids. Other than wild animals, they have farm animals. Kids can interact with them and feed them. You can get yearly subscription in lower price.
It is an okay zoo... I do have to say it was the beginning of winter so it wasn't exactly peak season. The animals that were ouy and about were pretty cool.
The zoo is very widely spread out with no real maps available. We encountered one visual map of the zoo but nothing is available to carry. It was a perfect day for the zoo. Friday morning at 11 brought a small crowd of stroller pushing toddler moms, so it was a nice casual stroll. The animals had just gotten breakfast so they were out and about and active.
