This is a beautiful hotel- the room was spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows which let in lots of light and views of the city. Unfortunately those same windows allowed all the noise from downtown (sirens, crowds and nearby bars) which continued through the night. The breakfast bar was reasonably priced and included omelets made-to-order. My biggest disappointment was the quality of toilet paper which was about what youโd expect at a public restroom (come on Marriott, youโre better than this ๐.)
Overall I enjoyed my stay and might be willing to return.
The front desk attendant seemed annoyed that he had to assist us. Handed us a key card that could have been 106 or 901 as he gave no direction either way. We even had to go back to the desk to ask him where the elevators were.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are beautifully appointed. There are many very nice restaurants within walking distance.
Located in downtown Lexington, this property makes a great base camp for exploring the area. There are great restaurants nearby, some within a block's walk. The rooms are updated, and the fitness center is exactly what you hope for in a Marriott. The barstaff (the Chris's) were polite and professional. There was also live music over the weekend. The M lounge was well-maintained and stocked, and the woman who ran the Sunday morning brunch/lounge was incredibly helpful and the friendliest person in the hotel.
Like any downtown, parking in the deck below the building can be a challenge, and you are guaranteed some sirens in the night, but that is part of every downtown. It shares space with the Residence Inn, so if you want to swim, prepare for a hike through both lobbies.
I was in town for the UK graduation. The location is fantastic. We were able to walk to everywhere from the arena where graduation was held, to multiple breweries and distilleries, to restaurants. However, the most brag worthy part of this hotel is their housekeeper, Leslie. I left behind a very expensive pair of prescription glasses, without which, I cannot see. Upon calling the front desk, I did not receive much help. I called a second time and asked to speak directly with a housekeep, which is how I got in touch with Leslie. Leslie made it her mission to find and mail my glasses to me. This type of service is not common to come across these days. I could not be more thankful for her kindness!!!
We are in town for a Basketball Game at Rupp. This hotel is just a short walk from there. Room Service for a bite before the game TOOK FOREVER, so don't bother.
We are in Room 624. It is a bit worn and not what we expected for this Marriott. There is some type of stain/spill on the sofa cushion right where your bottom sits-ick and the floors are just dirty. White sock feet were quickly black. I had hubby slip on his slides. The shower bottom is stained black and could easily be treated with some bleach! We are only here for the night or I would have complained to the front desk. Other reviews mentioned the noise. It is super noisy however they provide a noise maker in the room.๐
