Lake Hood Seaplane Base

Take the little extra time to drive through the base and see the planes and drive right by runways. Just a very cool drive. Even mom enjoyed it. Enjoy the scenery

We stopped here shortly on an Anchorage trolley tour and were able to watch a few planes land and take off.

Perfect to watch the planes come in or go out, sweetest views

Very beautiful place for a quick visit on a summer day. A lit of planes ✈️ take off and land in the water, the view is beautiful and interesting. A lot of parking spaces are available and a few park benches are available to sit and watch as the planes land and take off. We took some pastries and spent around 1 hour watching the planes. Must visit this place of you have some relaxing day planned.
