Love going to this place, it’s a bit pricey, but worth it because you get up and close with the animals and it’s never as crowded as the zoo. The animals are fun and friendly (the ones they let you interact with). Being able to feed kangaroos is such a cool experience, getting to be up close and pet a giant horse was also great since us city folk don’t get to do that often 🤪
My family of 7 had so much fun petting the kangaroos and thought the cave tour was super cool on our vacation. The staff was very friendly and patient with my kids, too! Great place to visit for any age!
But the bonus was the KDU maintenance crew who went above and beyond after they had clocked out for the day. When we got to our van after they closed, we had a flat tire. We were hoping to just get a little air to make it to an auto shop for a patch. They not only helped us air it up, they helped fix the tire. We tried to pay them and they refused! We are so grateful for them!
This was a great experience for the family. It’s near Mammoth Cave, and a slow place where you can see exotic animals like Kangaroos, Ostriches, camel, and many birds. The gift shop is a nice place to stop by after riding your golf cart around to have some fudge. Highly recommend getting the golf cart, lots of land to walk if you don’t have wheels.
My 11 year old daughter and I spent an afternoon here. We were there from 1:15-5, which was plenty of time to do every without rushing. However we could have easily spent the entire day 9-5 going to each exhibit repeatedly. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. They were patient and would answer every question with a smile on their faces! The animals are very friendly, you could tell that much love and kindness are given to them by the staff. The bathrooms were clean, the cafe was reasonably priced and tasty, and the gift shop was not overwhelming! Lastly, we absolutely loved being able to rent a golf cart to drive the beautiful grounds! We will definitely return bringing family and friends!
Great place!! We got there a bit late so we went straight to the animal show, that lady was amazing… the kids get to pet the snake and take pictures too, then we went to the Cave Tour…. That young lady was so incredible sweet too, my little girl felt down the stairs and she was very sweet helping and making her feel better, then we went to the sheep herding demostration… blossom was amazing, she played with my kids at the end, the young man was amazing, we loved it, our last stop was the kangaroos and it was my kids favorite, the lady there was incredible, super sweet and helpful…. My only complaint will be the two girls at the front, not friendly at all, actually kinda rude, like they don’t want to be there… a boomer because they’re the first faces you see, just know everybody else inside is totally different
