Hyatt House Minot

Do NOT stay at this hotel, save your money and stay anywhere else! We paid around $370 for two rooms and the rooms were dirty and the furniture was old and worn. The bathroom had hair in the tub, and we were disturbed in the middle of the night concerning a noise complaint, which wasn't us. Then to add to top it all off we received a phone call while we were already checked out and on our way home. The front desk asked us to leave or the cops will be called! We informed them that we had already checked out and left. She then told us that we can no longer stay at their establishment because some guy allegedly harassed one of their housekeepers and they blamed our family. We explained again that we had left the premises so we couldn't understand why they were calling and accusing our family. We then asked them to check the cameras, they said they would talk to their housekeepers and get back to us. We left it at that but decided to call the next day to find out if the issue was resolved, which it wasn't. I explained to them that we talked to all of our kids and that it wasn't anyone from our family as we have more respect for the working class than that. Again, I asked the hotel to check the cameras. The front desk clerk then asked me for a physical description of all the males in our group, which I gave her. We were asked to call back this evening which my husband did. He was told by the manager that they didn't have cameras anywhere except the ground floor and the "Facts" were that the two housekeepers stories matched so therefore our family was tried and convicted according to them. They couldn't even match the description of the males in our family but they were guilty as far as they were concerned. My husband tried to ask questions but the manager didn't give him a chance to be heard and just kept talking over him. I truly believe that it was a racially motivated incident, as we are Native Americans. We are beyond upset and it's sickening that this type of treatment is still happening. Do Better!

This hotel got Hyatt back in my good books after a stay at a bad one in Cincinnati a couple years ago. Front desk staff at check-in were awesome. Very welcoming and informative. Staff at check-out a little less so, not very friendly. The room was spacey and comfy. The breakfast options were excellent and plentiful. The location is good, just off the highway.

So starting off checking into the hotel, the gal at the desk(I am horrible at getting names, I apologize. But she had a nose ring with a chain) was super friendly! She gave me my cards and told me to enjoy my stay. The room was incredible (I totally meant to book just a single one bedroom king room, but hit 2 rooms on accident, whatever, I made the best of it and used the additional room's bed as a place to put my suitcase on, and my boyfriend used the shower and toilet so we could get ready faster) the beds were way comfy and we ended up using them more than the couch haha! The tub was a little small, but I am more of a shower person anyways so I didn't care. The bathroom in the one room was so spacious, the other had the sink on the outside of the bathroom. However, the kitchen was amazing and big, just wish there would have been a bigger trash can available. We ended up buying our own pack of water since we drank so much. I really don't have that much to complain about. Other than my mobile key on my phone didn't wanna work and I kept forgetting to say something while I was down in the lobby.

Upon arrival I was greeted by Shakeera and Lorena they were both polite and helpful getting me checked in to my company accommodation. They explained all amenities and services available at the property. The room is nice and clean for the most part. Definitely looks a little worn in areas but that's understandable due to the high occupancy. Overall great fresh breakfast and cordial staff. Thank for welcoming me back to Minot. Best regards!!!! Out of the way, but not nearly as out of the way as it was just a few years ago. Well kept and the room was huge. Breakfast is superior to others I've had at hotels in Minot, and it is constantly attended to so everything is kept fresh and the service area spotless. I will return here.
