Great centrally located little boutique hotel. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The 24 hour cafe is free for guests, and the breakfast is reasonably nice. I definitely prefer going out for a street tamale or a local spot for breakfast, but it was very convenient to be able to get some tea and fruit while waiting for others to get ready for the day. The hotel also offers a free walking tour (~3 hours, so be prepared!) which was fun and informative.
The Hotel Historico Central is well-situated in the historic area of Mexico City and a short walk to restaurants, shopping and touristic attractions. The staff at the hotel is top-notch -- friendly, organized, and helpful. The cooked to order breakfast is a big plus (shout out to Roberto), as is the unlimited bottled water and apples available at all times. The little cafe associated with the hotel is open 24/7 and is a good choice for a snack or meal after a long day of sightseeing. The three hour walking tour offered by the hotel was fun and informative -- be sure to take advantage of this perk. I would definitely stay there again!
The staff is absolutely wonderful, led by their superb Gen Mgr Ingrid Barnard. The concept of including not only breakfast but a substantial menu of salads, soups, sandwiches, and drinks - with unlimited bottled water during your stay- plus a 3 hr. walking tour of the area is brilliant. Location is great and our room was comfortable and quiet.
Everything is great with this hotel, the staff the rooms the food. Daniel one of the concierge offered the use of his metro card. We had to top up but it gave us the freedom to explore further and topping it up for a day for use of the city ecobikes took us beyond places our feet would not go. Our room had a opening window that let air in at night another plus
One big complaint is the fragrance throughout the hotel in the lobby and main floor public washrooms. It Is too much please reduce or eliminate the fragrance. Other guests also commented on this as well.
Hotel was excellent, from the ride from the airport, to the greeting, the breakfast staff, cafe, the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was delicious and staff super friendly. When my family got sick they put together a tray of food that wouldn’t upset our stomachs. On my son’s birthday the hotel put together a dish with macaroons and candy, a toy, and a note wishing him happy birthday. They checked in on my son when he got sick as well. Love the free cafe, and water bottles on every floor. The inside and outside is beautiful, and located in great area, always felt safe. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, it was great.
