Hotel Amayal

Very good location - across the street from the bus station, for those who will take buses to the falls/airport. This is the biggest plus, because you only spend the night in a hotel and spend the whole day at the waterfalls. Clean bed linen. A baby cot is provided free of charge. Towels are changed every day. There is also soap, shampoo and conditioner. Buffet breakfast included. Mainly bread and pastries, coffee/tea/orange juice and fruits (apples, pears, bananas). A good option to stay the night, have breakfast and go on an adventure to the waterfalls.

The experience was absolutely bad! From the first day the receptionist wasn't that nice. There was a roach in the "breakfast" area, they put fees on many things including stained sheets, towel and pillows. The funny thing is that when we arrived to the room, everything was stained with a yellowish color, due to poor cleaning as everything looks old and uncared for. The room was not clean, the bathroom had mold, mildew and drainage issues. It stank like feces during our stay. Even when we requested multiple time for the room to be cleaned it still looked the same, it could be due to chemicals used to clean but it didn't work out. In general, I would highly suggest to stay away from this hotel as it left us with a bitter sweet sensation after leaving Iguazu. The only good side is the location of the hotel. Apparently even the locals know the owner of the hotel and many have commented about many complaints from the visitors. Maybe a better administration is needed and an obvious remodeling the hotel to change the awful image it currently has...

AVOID. Bathroom smelled like sewer and had mold. The sheets and pillow cases were all dirty and yellow. The only good thing about it is the location but not really worth the price we paid for it.

This is unacceptable and very dirty hotel, do not trust the Google posted pictures. For the price I paid for $107 CAD per night, it is way too expensive. It not worth it. The bedding sheets have blood and some kind of yellow stains. The ceiling has mold and the washroom smells like sewage and dirty.

This is more a hostel than a hotel, rooms very poor, bathroom dreadful with a nasty smell. Cannot recommend.
