Great 5 Golden Star Hospital, saved me from sudden emergecy during my cruise from Miami to Spain.
Doctor Lopez Cano treated me twice with his professional touch, all other doctors were great also. Nurses treated me with great care and timely for all needs. Great help came from the interpeter Patricia who went way beyond what was expected. Even went back to get our passports stamped as we bypassed the immigration in an amulance. My wife could stay in the room with me for 10 days. All superb experince.
Having a surgery and hospitalized in a foreign country was really a scary experience for me. But being treated in a hospital like LOPEZ CANO change that feeling. Why? its because all the Doctor, nurses, and staff are all professionally well trained, helpful, very kind and they are one of the best health care provider you can imagine. They will assist you in every way until your discharge, they will explain to you all the things you need to know and they will care for you as if they are your own family. I was admitted for evaluation on my having abdominal pain in the NCL Norwegian Breakaway ship on 4/29/23 where I was diagnosed as having Bowel Obstruction. Dr. Mark Coronel, the ship MD, referred me to a surgeon in Cadiz, Spain - for further evaluation and to rule out any possible surgery. Hence, when the NCL ship docked in the morning of 4/30/23 in Cadiz, Spain, I was transported to Hospital Lopez Cano where I had to undergo an abdominal X-Ray and CT-Scan procedure which eventually gave favorable results - where I did not have to undergo any surgery. In the evening of 4/30/23, Dr. Gonzalo Martin, the attending surgeon, explained the results from the CT-Scan, stating everything looks good and I don’t need any form of surgery, examined me, and later put me on a soft diet. The following day (5/1/23) Dr. Martin stated that he will issue me the Fit for Travel (FFT) Medical Certificate and finally discharged me on 5/2/23. I would like to give special thanks to Patricia Granados who took care of me right from the start, from when I was transported to the hospital from the NCL ship. She has been instrumental in getting the FFT Medical Certficate (to reboard the NCL ship in BCN), all the relevant hospital documents I needed to present to my insurance company in the US (for reimbursement), my discharge papers, along with transportation accommodations to the Jerez de la Frontera Airport (via taxi) from the hospital. Hospital Lopez Cano is very fortunate to have her as its hospital orderly (not sure if that’s the appropriate term for someone in her position). I congratulate Hospital Lopez Cano for having such a very efficient, courteous and compassionate hospital orderly like Patricia. Quite frankly, the world needs more people like her.
My Mum was admitted to the hospital from a cruise ship as she was very poorly and we stayed for 6 days before flying home . Being in hospital unexpectedly in a foreign county where we did not speak the language was very traumatic for us but all the hospital staff were amazing, particularly Patricia! She was the international interpreter and support for us and the help and service we received from her was absolutely outstanding - our stay was made so much easier and bearable with her constant support ! She acted as a liaison between the Doctors and Nurses and even helped translating things with the insurance company . Thank you so much to you all and I can highly recommend this hospital and Patricia !
Our admission to Dr Lopez Cano, Cadiz was made less traumatic owing to the caring professionalism of all staff. We cannot thank them enough. All of the staff were so caring, especially Patricia and Jesus, who worked tirelessly to get my husband fit and well. I cannot express our gratitude in words.
