Glass Doctor of LaGrange

I took my truck in to get a chipped glass repaired back in August of this year. It cost me $99.75 for that "repair". During the first decent snow this year, that chip cracked the entire way across my windshield. I stopped in to ask what kind of warranty they had on their repair and was told that they could give me that repair cost as credit towards a new windshield. I decided to get another quote. I was able to save money elsewhere for the same OEM windshield even with the repair credit they offered. After the other shop switched my windshield out, we looked at the old glass and it was hard to tell if Glass Doctor had even fixed the original crack at all. (see photo.) There were obvious dark spots in the glass which indicate that there is air in the glass - that air should have been filled with resin. The crack also felt rough still, which if repaired correctly, would be smooth. I stopped back in to the Glass Doctor and informed them that this repair was done poorly, if even done at all. They told me that since I had my glass replaced somewhere else, the "warranty" was void. There are a number of five star reviews for this company on Google, which are all over a year old. This location used to be Lakeland Auto Sales and has been purchased by Glass Doctor. It is not the same owner and they do not have the same quality that they used to have. Most, if not all of the previous reviews were for the original company, not Glass Doctor. I would recommend trying to repair the glass yourself before using this company. Their high prices, poor workmanship, and the fact that they do not take responsibility for their work if done incorrectly make them a poor choice for glass repair. There are much better glass companies in the area that offer trustworthy, quality work. Do yourself a favor, save money and go somewhere else.

This place is AMAZING! They worked with my insurance company, fixed my windshield all at no cost to me:) Mike was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and fast! 20 mins. start to finish. I did have to press my insurance company to let me go with a local business rather than their Safelite repair...... so glad I did.
