Garage Door Place Inc

Bought a CoPay garage door through Home Depot on 09/14/2023 and was told it would be 6 weeks. CoPay uses Garage Door Place for their installs from what Home Depot told me. Was informed in the beginning of October it would not arrive until 29 November 2023 which was fine with me. November come and goes no contact about install. Call Home Depot they give me information so I can contact installer. I call Garage Door Place and get a rude receptionist and get told my garage needs to be cleaned out and they can squeeze me in on Friday. Call back the next day to tell them they can do it the following week because I prefer not being squeezed in. The person on phone rudely tells me if I can do it Friday it would be two weeks before they could install it. Called Home Depot and cancelled my order and would not recommend this company to do work for you. Very unprofessional people and was treated like you did not buy from us so will get it done when we can.

Way overpriced for a service call, over 100 dollars per hour even if they are only there for 10 minutes. Wanted to charge me 65 dollars for a second remote control for our garage door....don't think so. Went on Amazon and found the exact same remotes for 15 each or 24 for a pair. Bought a pair and will be here next week. Too many companies trying to take advantage of people during the current bidenflation pandemic. Do your own research and look around, there are way better deals out there!

Troy Laflin, is your best employee. His customer skills are amazing. He always goes above and beyond to make sure he provides quality service. I was satisfied with his knowledge and work for my garage door. 10/10 would recommend.

Be warned they charge $105/hr/visit+$10 gas fee+$20 for a temporary splicer & they don't keep parts on hand. This company WILL turn an estimate into a service call by twisting your words and installing temporary parts without your consent. I called for an estimate and they said they could fit me in and finish it same day. A day later he arrived & said they don't EVER keep standard springs in stock so he could only give me an estimate that day. He gave me a 2 week parts ETA, installed a spring splicer WITHOUT my consent, told me not to use my garage door, and told me I owed them nothing for the visit. The estimate they emailed the next week was over $100 more than he gave me in person. They then told me because I didn't consent to the estimate they HAD TO charge me the full service fee, gas, and splicer cost since I did not complete the estimate for services with them. He was here less than 10 minutes and they plan to bill me for an entire hour+parts+ fees.

I chose Garage Door Place because they were always friendly and quick to respond to issues with our old garage door openers that were installed over 20yrs ago. I really liked their products so decided to order new doors and openers from them. Troy was patient while I figured out exactly what I wanted. He was just very helpful in my selection and answered all my questions. He kept me in the loop on my order. The doors look awesome and the openers work so much better. Very happy customer 😁 Local good people 👍🏼
