G. Fedale Roofing and Siding

I understand that our roof was a small project and low revenue for G. Fedale, but I will not tolerate nor respect anyone treating me & our family as if we are small & unimportant. Our project was extremely simple: house only required shingles & coverings to be replaced on the front & back roof, about 8/12 or 9/12 slope, good wood integrity, total area of about 850 sq. ft., no protrusions other than small vent pipe and the chimney on south edge (no angles, windows, dormers, etc.). Chose G. Fedale based upon: - competitive pricing - expected one-day roof completion - promised cleanup that included magnetized removal of sharps from premises - responsiveness of salesperson to our calls After we paid initial one-third of the quoted price, our experience changed with G. Fedale: - much less communication, from more people unknown to us, & much slower to respond to our calls. - G. Fedale said they were coming week of Thanksgiving, so we delayed our holiday decorating. They did not come that week, did not call. - We were resigned to asking G. Fedale to return in Spring as temperatures were dropping, but they called & said they would do the project 12/12/23 beginning between 7:00a - 8:00a, finishing same afternoon. - Workers arrived at 6:00a & sat in truck in our driveway until foreman arrived at 7:00a. Woke up us & our dogs. - Roofing portion took only 1 day as promised, work completed about 4:00p. Dumpster also gone same day, was important to us. - Workers knocked down Comcast cable coming from street into house. Never said they knocked down cable, but I saw it when I was leaving. Workers restored the cable to the eave hook, but did a poor job (2 pictures attached). Cable came down again 4 days later in rain storm. Had to go out in the rain on ladder to properly reattach cable to house. - So far, no leaks from roof that we noticed, but haven't been able to get up to roof to fully inspect the quality of the whole work. - Workers did just average job of cleaning lawn & house premises, removing most trash & scrap pieces. Still lots of small pieces around property, some of that to be expected. - Workers left over 2 dozen unused nails in gutters, which I found/removed when hanging holiday lights. - Next morning foreman returned unannounced to pick up sharps from ground, told me "...(he) forgot to bring the magnet." I told him that was important to us, it was promised in writing & an important part of our decision to hire & pay G. Fedale. He promised to return the next day with the magnet, & to call before he arrived. - foreman never returned next day, never called in advance Over the course of next few days I found a razor blade, 2 roofing nails, & a long wood nail on our grounds close to the house. See pictures. - I called G. Fedale salesperson, informed him of the found sharps, told him to alert the foreman to come back to the house as promised to magnetize & remove sharps. Our dogs are at risk for cutting their foot pads, expensive veterinary treatment to stitch such injuries. Additionally, do not want to mow the lawn & shoot sharps out of the discharge & seriously injure someone. - Neither salesman/anyone from G. Fedale returned my call. - Called G. Fedale main office two days later, spoke live with employee, explained situation, again instructed that the foreman or someone to magnetically remove the sharps as contracted. - Foreman came to property next day with magnet, but called me on phone to rudely antagonize me, saying there was only one nail he found so far, and that I shouldn't have called to complain because he had previously magnetically checked the premise. Even if that were true, I should never have found a razor and 3 nails (19 more today) if he used magnet as he claimed. Continued to be contentious with me on the phone, & also contentious in person with my wife who was home at the time. Finally completed his magnetic check of the grounds & left. I give G. Fedale Roofing & Siding 2-stars out of 5, & do not recommend G. Fedale Roofing & Siding to anyone. Addendum 12-27-23 Found 19 more nails, sharps

The team at G. Fedale was outstanding. From our first contact with the office staff to the finished job, everyone went the extra mile to make the experience easy for us. Their workers were polite and even moved our deck furniture for us, and our job was completed on time for the quoted price. Thank you, G. Fedale!

I cannot stress how impressed I have been with the professionalism and responsiveness that I received from working with G. Fedale. In particular I’d like to recognize Joey Gordon (Project Consultant) for his attention, communication, and overall success on my particular project (full roof replacement) during the planning phase and Chris Battistone (Field Project Manager) for running a tight crew during installation. My sincerest thanks to the company for walking us through the unaccustomed activities and making our home a beautiful, safe place. -Dan

After asking friends and looking through reviews, I contacted G. Fedale to look discuss replacement of my main entry door, storm door and side entry door. While waiting for the supplier to deliver the doors I also decided to have the roofing and gutters on my homes addition replaced. Dan and Joseph , walked me through the process, took measurements, offered suggestions, etc. Frank, our project manager then took over and he was great at keeping me in the loop every step of the way. Installation went well, the crew was attentive and courteous, to myself and daughter, and our pets. We truly Appreciate the door replacements done at our house. Does top notch work and great to work with. Very professional, and there to take care of my family’s biggest investment Highly recommend G. Fedale for your construction/home repair needs. P.S Purple is my favorite color and I was absolutely thrilled when told it was an option 💜

Fantastic and professional service, cannot believe that a whole new roof took only two days to complete...communication with all Fedale parties was/is terrific. J.
