El Corte Inglés Preciados

A bit too much for my liking, but definitely one of the biggest and better all in one shopping centers in Madrid and the whole of Spain, the old original Galerías Preciados now turned into one of the biggest Corte Ingles in town

Overall:8/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 Service: 8/10 Able to get a small selection of international brands here at the supermarket. The clothes, handbags, shoe store just above the supermarket. Having a long day shopping here. There's a cafe located at the supermarket floor. Nice pastry and coffee serve here

Galerías Preciados the original first and most important shopping center in Madris

A good place to find what you need. The food court has a good variety of food to choose from with a supermarket next door. The clothes departments are located on the top level. Some of the workers on those levels actually think they own the brand. We went to buy an evening gown and I couldn't help feeling like a criminal. The workers with their tight hair, lipsticks and wearing the brand clothes for marketing would look at you as if you did not belong in 'whole of f....the store'! if you wore 'normal' clothes (watch pretty women and you'll get the drift). So if your shopping for an evening gown or just a plain jacket, wear you formal dress so maybe you'll get some service, but if you want a snack, downstairs is not too bad. Although the fruit section is double the price, maybe the fruit were grown on golden soil. Enjoy and good luck (especially if your a tourist).

Nice place for shopping but I avoid during winter! What’s wrong with your heating systems? It’s like a sauna, the air is dense and ventilation does not seem to help.. after all pandemic, we are still neglecting peoples health..
