Drybar - Thompson Central Park

I’ve been 2 times to Drybar in two different locations. Both times they did a very good job with my hair. Featured in the photos here is the lovely Maceo who took care of my hair (you can see the outcome at one of the photos here). They will offer you complementary drinks while you wait but be sure to arrive on midweek otherwise the place can be pretty crowded. Also, to avoid long waiting time you should schedule appointments online. Or try to arrive as a walk-in on midweek.

I’ve been to other dry bars and had good experiences but it seems like booking an appointment here does not guarantee staff will be there to honor the appointment. I booked an appointment on a time crunch for a special occasion for myself and my mom and was told no stylists were there for either of us. By 20 minutes after our appointment, no one had showed up and we had to leave. I would not recommend this location if you are looking to actually get your hair done.

Vincent is the man. He did a fabulous job on my hair. My mother had hers done as well.. it looked less than fabulous but not only did Vincent offer to give a little more volume to hers.. he over heard us possibly not making our dinner reservation. So he asked his coworker to take care of my moms hair. I don’t run in to many people with a sense of urgency and care. I HIGHLY recommend this gentleman. I would become a loyal customer to him if I still lived here. Bravo from start to finish. Vincent!

I’ve been to about 7 Drybar locations, this was BY FAR THE WORST, I had a very negative experience. Every single time, and I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME, they are ALWAYS AT LEAST 45 minutes late minimum. This is the absolute WORST Dry Bar location I have ever been to. Would give zero stars if I could. In the business of customer service I feel "fashionably late" it still unacceptable. This is extremely unacceptable. Not only was my appointment not on time but I stood in the front of the shop and was not greeted by anyone. While I was getting my hair washed to two employees we're discussing how much they disliked their job, how they were searching for new jobs and that one employee was going to go back to her old job at the Drybar - Thompson Central Park, I have straight hair, you dont need to PULL and STRETCH and BREAK my hair to get it straight, it is hard NOT to have it by straight but this girl caused so much damage, She was rude from the beginning, throwing the menu book on the counter and asking, "What do you want?" She barely washed the hair, sprayed water in my face, On top of that, the receptionists are absolute trash. Rude and unprofessional. I will never go back to this DryBar again.!!!!!!!

Love this place! Upbeat, fun, professional, everyone is friendly and you get to drink champagne while you get your hair blown out. Who could ask for more! I got the Manhattan of course!
