This was my first time ever stopping at a DryBar. I am on vacation and didn't want to spend time to do my hair after battling with this Texas heat. I made a same day appt and was seen on time. The staff was polite but my stylist Allysa (I think that is how you spell it) was absolutely amazing. I have really thick, long, and curly hair so I was unsure of how my hair would turn out but she did amazing. I would definitely recommend!
Hair looked so good but omg the blow out legit lasted 10 minutes, honestly maybe even less. I work about a mile away and when I got back to work my hair was completely frizzed up and flat. I wanted to scream cry. It was so sad. I have extremely curly and frizzy hair that NEEDS product. Unfortunately, my stylist didnt use a single product besides a little bit of hair spray. Any one who has curly hair and lives in Houston, with the humidity, knows this is a recipe for disaster. Put it up in a bun to salvage what I could at work and then once I got home had to put product in and basically re- do it. Had a first date that night and this made me so self conscious and nervous about my hair. It was awful. Also, this is my second time at this Drybar and both times I had to at least wait 20 minutes before hand, please take this into account when you are scheduling for an event right after!
I feel like one star is an extravagance. Lordy! I usually go to the Drybar in uptown. I thought I’d save time and grab a visit here. MISTAKE. “Zee” didn’t give me the smooth blow out I asked and paid for. My hair is frizzy and fly away. I look ridiculous. All she talked about was how she is moving to Austin “to open a new Drybar”. Austin, I wish you luck. It’s infuriating to come to a place for a style only to have to go home and do it yourself. I love Drybar, but this one is the pits. Seriously, don’t even consider it. I told several people I was not happy. They asked me how they could fix it. Since they had no idea and my expectations for any hair skill was already very low, I refused. What a horrible experience and colossal waste of money. Zee you are not good at hair! Shame on you Drybar!
Staff is wonderful and I always leave happy with my hair, my one note is that they often run pretty late, usually 15 minutes but sometimes closer to 30-45 which can be frustrating.

My hair was very puffy. You have to really watch out and make sure they flatten your hair and small sections if you’re African-American.
